Simon Benoit is expected to make his Maple Leafs' debut Monday vs. Tampa Bay.

Benoit is expected to make his Maple Leafs' debut on Monday as Maxime Lajoie will be a healthy scratch. Last season, Benoit played 78 games with the Anaheim Ducks, registering 10 points (3G / 10A), 128 blocks, and 216 hits. The hard-hitting defenceman is expected to skate on the Maple Leafs' third pair alongside William Lagesson.

The Maple Leafs' goalie carousel continues Saturday as Joseph Woll takes the crease Saturday vs. Buffalo after allowing four goals on 27 shots (.852 SV%) in a loss in his previous start. The 25-year-old has demanded more starter's time due to his incredible start to 2023-24, with his 3-2-0 record, .942 SV% and 1.89 GAA. He will look to get back in the win column vs. Buffalo, who has struggled offensively this season, ranking 29th in shots on goals per game (27.9) and 18th in goals per game (3.0).
