The move was likely a paper transaction to create some cap flexibility ahead of Monday's trade deadline. Robertson has picked up one goal on 12 shots in nine games since being called up in late February.

Matthews was suspended for two games for cross-checking Rasmus Dahlin but is eligible to draw back into the lineup in Nashville. Matthews, who leads the NHL with 45 goals, will be back in his familiar spot on a line with Michael Bunting and Mitch Marner.

The Kraken are retaining 50 percent of Jarnkrok's remaining salary. Jarnkrok is a quality defensive-first forward, who could be a perfect fit on a line with Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman. Jarnkrok, who is Elias Lindholm's cousin, is in the final year of a six-year deal that carries $2.0M AAV cap-hit. He has scored 12 goals with 14 assists (26 points) in 49 games.

Matthews cross-checked Dahlin in the head following a battle in front of the Sabres' net and he will miss Tuesday's game vs. Dallas and Thursday's game vs. Chicago. John Tavares and Alexander Kerfoot will likely take on larger roles with Matthews suspended.

The Ducks will be without Ryan Getzlaf, Isac Lundestrom and Jakob Silfverberg on Thursday, so Lettieri, Danny O'Regan and Buddy Robinson were called up from the AHL. Lettieri has scored five goals with three assists (eight points) in 17 NHL games this season.

Dahlstrom has appeared in one game with the Maple Leafs this season, spending most of the year in the AHL, where he has 13 assists in 36 games with the Marlies.

Boyd bounced around the NHL a bit in his first four seasons (three teams) but seems to have found a home with the Coyotes. Boyd, who has played in the top-6 for most of the season has already set career-highs in goals (10), assists (14) and points (24) through 46 games.

Maccelli was a fourth-round pick in 2019 and has torched the AHL in his first year in North America. The 21-year-old is third in the AHL with 55 points (14G / 41A) in 42 games. He's expected to skate on a line with Alex Galchenyuk and Phil Kessel.

Robertson was called up from the Marlies on Friday and is set to make his season debut in Detroit. The 20-year-old has scored three goals and five assists (eight points) in nine AHL games this season. He has one assist in six career NHL games to date.

Robertson is among the Maple Leafs' top prospects but has had a tough time gaining any traction due to repeated injury issues. Since returning to the Marlies lineup recently, Robertson has scored three goals with five assists (eight points) in nine games. He had one assist in six games with the Maple Leafs last season.

Muzzin will miss a minimum of 10 games / 24 days after being placed on LTIR with a concussion he suffered on Monday. Ilya Lyubushkin replaced Muzzin in the lineup on Tuesday.

Muzzin left Monday's game vs. the Canadiens after landing awkwardly on his head/neck following a collision. Muzzin remained in Montreal as the team left for Columbus, so look for either Rasmus Sandin to re-enter the lineup or for Ilya Lyubushkin to make his Maple Leafs debut vs. the Blue Jackets.
