Vejmelka will start on Tuesday vs. Columbus.

The Coyotes coach staff has committed to swapping their goalies for the remainder of the season and will continue to do so as Vejmelka goes between the pipes on Tuesday. Vejmelka has played well lately, allowing two or fewer goals in three straight (2-1-0), including saving 27 of 28 shots (.964 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 2-1 overtime win against the Seattle Kraken. Vejmelka has played well lately, allowing three or fewer goals in four straight (2-2-0), including his most recent outing when he was tremendous, saving 37 of 38 shots (.974 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils. The Coyotes enter action as slight -106 underdogs against the Seattle Kraken.

Despite playing 24:58 time-on-ice on Monday, his third-highest total of the season, Marino is battling an upper-body injury and will not play in Thursday's game against the Dallas Stars. The 26-year-old defenseman has three points (0G / 3A), three shots, and four hits in his last three games.

Hayton (lower body) will miss "some time" and is expected to be out longer than day-to-day.

Hayton was a late scratch on Tuesday due to a lower-body injury and unfortunately is expected to miss more time than originally planned as he is out longer than a day-to-day prognosis while he continues to get tested by team doctors. The 23-year-old has had a season to forget as its been riddled with injuries which has led to very disappointing production with his three goals, 10 points, 66 SOG, 26 PIMs and -13 plus/minus in 33 games played.

Barrett Hayton
Marino (upper body) is day-to-day and questionable to dress on Thursday vs. Dallas.

Hayton has begun to find productivity lately but is unlikely to play on Tuesday against the Minnesota Wild. In his last six games, Hayton has scored four points (2G / 2A) after scoring only two points (0G / 2A) in his previous 11.

Vejmelka is responsible for two of the Coyotes' last three wins and will return to the crease for the fourth time in the last seven games. The Czech netminder has allowed three or fewer goals in three straight (2-1-0) but is coming off a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild, where he allowed three goals on 26 shots (.885 SV%). The Coyotes enter action as +171 road underdogs against Minnesota.

Schmidt is expected to be a healthy scratch on Monday vs. Washington.

Schmidt will be a healthy scratch on Monday, allowing newcomer Colin Miller to make his Jets' debut. Schmidt played the last two games for the Jets, averaging over 18 minutes time-on-ice while tallying two shots on and two hits.

Vanecek has been on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, but will likely serve in a timeshare with Mackenzie Blackwood between the pipes for the Sharks upon his return. The 28-year-old Vanecek struggled this season with the New Jersey Devils, posting a career-worst 3.18 GAA and .890 SV% in 32 games (17-9-3).

Rooney has been signed to a one-year, $1.3 million contract extension.

Rooney was sidelined until February due to off-season shoulder surgery but has played all 13 games for the Flames since making his season debut, tallying one goal and 21 hits in 13 games. The 30-year-old Rooney has played predominantly on a line with Walker Duehr and Jakob Pelletier.
