Ingram will start Monday vs. Pittsburgh.

Despite losing two of his last three (1-1-1), Ingram will start for the fifth straight game on Monday night. After a poor game to open the 2024 calendar year, allowing five goals in a 5-1 loss to the New York Islanders, Ingram has allowed three or fewer goals in each of his last six appearances (3-1-1), posting a stellar .932 SV%. The Coyotes are +131 home underdogs against a Penguins club that defeated them 4-2 last month.

Valimaki will draw back into the Coyotes' lineup Monday vs. Pittsburgh.

Valimaki will draw into the lineup on Monday in favour of Troy Stecher, who will be a healthy scratch. Valimaki has been out of the lineup for the last six games and has only six points (0G / 6A) in 30 games, a substantial decline from the 34 points (4G / 30A) he had in 78 games last season.

Vanecek was in the starter's crease at Monday's morning skate.

Vanecek served as the backup to Nico Daws on Saturday in a one-side 6-2 loss to the Dallas Stars. Given Vanecek's tremendous effort the previous night, saving 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) in a 4-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Devils will likely turn back to him on Monday. Vanecek has helped a struggling Devils squad record at least a point in each of his last three starts (2-0-1), posting a .907 SV% in the process. The Devils, losers of three of their last four (1-3-0), are -120 road underdogs against the Vegas Golden Knights, who are riding a three-game winning streak.

Vanecek will start in Columbus on Friday.

With his grasp on the Devils' starting job slowly slipping away from him, Vanecek will get a shot at redemption on Friday as he will be back between the pipes for the Devils when they travel to Columbus. Nico Daws got the nod in goal in each of New Jersey's previous three games, but head coach Lindy Ruff is opting to go back to Vanecek after suffering back-to-back defeats. We last saw Vanecek on January 11th when he surrendered four goals on just 20 shots as the Devils suffered a 4-3 overtime defeat at the hands of the Lightning. Vanecek has managed to scrape together a 14-7-2 record on the season despite an .882 SV%. He's in an ideal spot to get back in the win column on Friday with the Devils being -150 favourites in Columbus.

Schmaltz (undisclosed) will be out Thursday vs. Vancouver.

Schmaltz recorded one assist in the Coyotes' last contest but exited the game with a lower-body injury after playing only 11:11 time-on-ice. The talented playmaker has five points (3G / 2A) in his last six games, and will officially be out for Thursday's game against the Vancouver Canucks as he is considered day-to-day.

Schmaltz recorded one assist in the Coyotes' last contest but exited the game with a lower-body injury after playing only 11:11 time-on-ice. Ingram will start Thursday in Vancouver.

As he did during a stellar stretch of play in early December, Ingram has retaken the Coyotes' net and will start for the fourth time in the last five games on Thursday night. Ingram has allowed three or fewer goals in five of his last six appearances (3-1-1), including two shutouts, posting a terrific .927 SV%. That said, Ingram and the Coyotes face a difficult foe on Thursday and are +171 road underdogs against a Vancouver Canucks club that has points in their last six games (5-0-1).

Schmaltz (lower body) is considered day-to-day and is questionable Thursday in Vancouver.

Schmaltz recorded one assist in the Coyotes' last contest but exited the game with a lower-body injury after playing only 11:11 time-on-ice. The talented playmaker has five points (3G / 2A) in his last six games, and his availability remains uncertain ahead of Thursday's game against the Vancouver Canucks.

Sergachev (lower-body) is expected to be out until after the All-Star break.

Sergachev has not played since December 19th and will miss at least six more games, with the earliest possible return date of February 7th. Sergachev has 19 points (2G / 17A) in 33 games and has been replaced by Darren Raddysh on the second powerplay unit.

Ingram will start Tuesday in Calgary.

Ingram will start for the third time in the last four games for the Coyotes on Tuesday night in Calgary. Ingram is coming off a sensational 38-save shutout on Saturday in a 6-0 victory over the Minnesota Wild. His .915 SV% over his last eight appearances (4-2-0) would typically be a serviceable total but is indicative of his inconsistent play lately, given that he has three shutouts over that span. The Coyotes are +146 road underdogs against the Flames, who defeated them 6-2 less than a week ago, a game in which Ingram saved 16 of 18 shots (.889 SV%) after entering in relief.

Ingram will start Saturday in Minnesota.

Ingram will return to the crease on Saturday after entering Thursday's game, a 6-2 loss to the Calgary Flames, in relief of Karel Vejmelka. Ingram has fallen back to earth after his spectacular run at the beginning of December but is still sporting a respectable .909 SV% in his last four outings (2-1-0). Ingram will be facing off against a Minnesota Wild club playing the back end of a back-to-back and has only scored 12 total goals in their last seven games heading into Friday.

Vejmelka will start Thursday vs. Calgary.

Vejmelka will continue the goalie rotation for the Coyotes on Thursday as he will start for the sixth time in the last 12 games. After seemingly refining his game in December, posting a stellar .939 SV% in three straight wins, Vejmelka has struggled against two tough opponents in his last two games (0-2-0), allowing eight goals on 72 combined shots (.889 SV%). Vejmelka and the Coyotes are slight +111 home underdogs against a more evenly matched opponent on Thursday, the Calgary Flames, who have lost two of their last three games (1-2-0).

Cole is expected to draw back into the Canucks' lineup Thursday vs. Pittsburgh.

Cole was replaced by Noah Juulsen on Tuesday as he was a healthy scratch for maintenance reasons. Cole had appeared in every game this season for Vancouver at the age of 34 and has a goal, six assists, 32 SOG and 36 PIMs in 40 games played.

Ian Cole
Vanecek will start Thursday vs. Tampa Bay.

Vanecek will start for only the third time in the last six games for the Devils when they face off against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday. Vanecek was great in his last contest, albeit against a low-scoring Chicago Blackhawks team, saving 23 of 25 shots (.920 SV%) in a 4-2 victory. Vanecek has tallied consecutive quality starts only once this season and will be hard-pressed to do so on Thursday as the Devils are +136 road underdogs.
