Joshua (hand) has been placed on Injured Reserve retroactive to February 13th.

Joshua hurt his hand in a fight on February 13th against Chicago and has been placed on Injured Reserve retroactive to the same date of his injury. The 27-year-old had been enjoying a breakout season in his fourth year in the NHL, with 13 goals, 26 points, 69 SOG, 46 PIMs and +16 plus/minus in 53 games before his injury.

Lankinen will start in Vegas on Tuesday.

Juuse Saros will get the night off on Tuesday as the Predators will turn to Lankinen for the first time since January 27th. Lankinen's most recent appearance came last Thursday against the Stars, when he allowed five goals on 23 shots in relief of Saros as the Predators were blown out 9-2. Lankinen owns a 6-4-0 record and an .889 SV% across 15 games this season. He draws a difficult matchup in Vegas on Tuesday, though the Predators do get the benefit of facing the Golden Knights on the tail-end of their back-to-back.

Bains is expected to make his NHL debut on Tuesday vs. Colorado.

Bains was recalled last week by Vancouver and could make his NHL debut on Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche. The undrafted 23-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season in the AHL, scoring 39 points (9G / 30A) in 42 games with the Abbotsford Canucks.

After witnessing his team give up 10 goals as the backup in a 10-7 loss to the Minnesota Wild yesterday, the Canucks will turn to their starting goalie Demko on Tuesday night. Demko saw his three-game winning streak end in his last outing, giving up four goals on 28 shots (.857 SV%) in a 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. The Canucks face off against the Colorado Avalanche as +126 road underdogs in a battle of Western Conference heavyweights. Demko tended the twine against the Avalanche on November 22nd and allowed four goals on 24 shots (.833 SV%) in a 5-2 loss.

Demko will start for the third straight game on Thursday, attempting to extend his two-game winning streak. Demko has been stellar in his last two games (2-0-0), saving 52 of 56 shots (.928 SV%) and has limited the opposition to two or fewer goals in six of his last nine contests (8-1-0). The Canucks are -181 home favourites, looking for revenge against a Detroit Red Wings club that defeated them 4-3 in overtime less than a week ago.

Joshua had a night for the ages on Tuesday but suffered a hand injury that will cause him to miss Thursday's game against the Detroit Red Wings. Joshua tallied three points (1G / 2A), a +2 plus/minus, five penalty minutes, two shots, and four hits in 12:27 time-on-ice.

Demko was excellent his last time out, stopping 31 of the 33 shots he faced in a 3-2 overtime victory in Washington on Sunday. The 28-year-old netminder is in the midst of an outstanding season with the Canucks, posting a .919 SV% and 2.45 GAA to go along with a league-leading tally of 28 wins. He's a safe bet to stay in the win column on Tuesday, with the Canucks being favoured at -260 to pick up the victory in Chicago over the lowly Blackhawks.

Patera was recalled from the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL) on Monday as Logan Thompson was battling an illness but has been reassigned back to the AHL. Patera has played five games with Vegas this season but has spent most of his time with Henderson, posting a 3.08 GAA and .903 SV% in 17 games (7-7-3).

With Carson Soucy (hand) being placed on IR, Vancouver recalled Woo from Abbotsford (AHL). Woo was the 37th overall pick of the Canucks in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft but has yet to play a game at the NHL level. The 23-year-old defender has 16 points (5G / 11A) in 42 games with Abbotsford.

On Tuesday, Demko was excellent, saving 22 of 24 shots (.917 SV%) in a 3-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. The California-born netminder is putting together a Vezina-calibre season with a 2.43 GAA, .920 SV%, and five shutouts through 36 games (27-8-1). The Canucks enter Thursday's matchup against the Boston Bruins as +120 road underdogs.

The 28-year-old deservedly earned his All-Star nod after posting an impressive 26-8-1 record, 2.44 GAA, .920 SV% and five shutouts in the first half of the season. He will take on the red-hot Carolina Hurricanes, who have won 11 of their last 14 games and are currently 10th in the NHL in goals per game (3.38).
