Lankinen will start on Thursday in Florida.

The red-hot Predators, riding a 13-0-2 point streak in their last 15 games, will turn to Lankinen between the pipes for only the second time in the last 10 games. Lankien has been solid when called upon, including a 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets in his last outing, when he saved 33 of 34 shots (.971 SV%). The Predators enter action as +159 road underdogs against the Florida Panthers.

Demko (knee) is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.

Demko exited Saturday's 5-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets in the second period with a knee injury and did not return to the contest. While further evaluations have ensured it is not a long-term injury, Demko is expected to miss several games as his initial prognosis is 2-3 weeks. Expect Case DeSmith to tend the twine in Demko's absence.

Demko will start in Vegas on Thursday.

The Canucks will turn to Demko between the pipes on Thursday in a heated divisional matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights. Demko has been inconsistent lately, winning only two of his last seven starts, but he was tremendous in his last outing, saving 23 of 24 shots (.958 SV%) in a 2-1 overtime victory against the Los Angeles Kings. The Canucks enter action as slight +102 road underdogs.

The Sharks have acquired Jack Thompson and a 2024 third-round pick from the Lightning for Anthony Duclair and a 2025 seventh-round pick.

A third-round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Thompson has enjoyed a productive year with Syracuse (AHL) and could presumably see some action with the Sharks down the stretch after making his NHL debut earlier this year. The 21-year-old defenseman had five goals and 27 assists in 46 AHL games this season.

Forbort (undisclosed) will be out on Thursday vs. Toronto but is only considered day-to-day.

Forbort has missed the last two games and will miss a third on Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs due to an undisclosed ailment. Forbort last played in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the New York Islanders, recording two shots and two hits in 19:27 time-on-ice.

Demko will start on Tuesday vs. Los Angeles.

Demko had the night off in the last game for the Canucks, a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks, but will return to the crease in a divisional matchup against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. Demko has lost five of his last six, allowing four or more goals three times and posting an ugly .876 SV%. The Canucks enter action with even -105 odds on the road against a Kings club that defeated them 5-1 less than a week ago.
