Vegas Golden Knights News

Eichel (knee) is traveling with the Golden Knights but unsure if he will make his return on their current roadtrip.

Eichel has been out for six weeks since leaving the Golden Knights' game on January 11th with a knee injury and appears to be on cue to return from surgery at the late end of his four-to-six-week prognosis. He currently has 19 goals, 25 assists, 173 SOG, 10 PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 42 games before his injury and will be a welcomed addition to a Golden Knights team that just lost Mark Stone indefinitely to an upper-body injury.

Jack Eichel
Hill will start on Tuesday in Toronto.

Hill will look for redemption as the Golden Knights starting goalie on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs, who chased him from the crease in the opening period last week. On Thursday, the Maple Leafs peppered Hill and the Golden Knights with 20 shots in the first period, scoring three and forcing Hill to exit the crease. Hill has allowed three or more goals in four straight (0-4-0) after an incredible start to the season.

Dowd (upper body) is out on Monday vs. Ottawa and is considered day-to-day.

Dowd left the Capitals' game on Tuesday vs. New Jersey with an upper-body injury after just 6:20 TOI and was placed on Injured Reserve Friday. The 33-year-old centre has been solid in his usual bottom-six role this season, with eight goals, 16 points, 45 SOG, 30 PIMs and +8 plus/minus through 45 games before his injury.

Hill will start against the Maple Leafs on Thursday.

Adin Hill will tend the twine on Thursday night as he attempts to snap a season-worst three-game losing skid. Uncharacteristically, Hill has allowed three or more goals in four straight games, the first time this season, showcasing an ugly .884 SV%. The Golden Knights will face off against a Maple Leafs club that played last night, a 6-3 win over the Arizona Coyotes, and is riding a five-game winning streak.

Wotherspoon is expected to draw back into Boston's lineup on Wednesday vs. Edmonton.

Mason Lohrei and Wotherspoon are both drawing into the Bruins' lineup on Wednesday as Hampus Lindholm (undisclosed) and Kevin Shattenkirk (healthy scratch) are both not expected to play. Wotherspoon last played on February 15th and registered a -1 plus/minus and one hit in 14:01 time-on-ice.

Parker Wotherspoon
Dowd (upper body) left Tuesday's game early and will miss practice Wednesday as he continues to be evaluated.

Dowd played only 6:20 time-on-ice before exiting Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury. Before his injury, Dowd was riding a season-best three-game point streak, scoring three points (1G / 2A). The Devils return to action on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Hill will start against the Predators on Tuesday.

Logan Thompson tended the crease in Monday's 4-0 victory over the San Jose Sharks and the Golden Knights will turn to Hill in the back end of their back-to-back on Tuesday night. Hill is riding a two-game losing streak, a first-time occurrence for the talented netminder this season. The Golden Knights enter Tuesday's contest as -135 home favourites against a Nashville Predators club coming off a 5-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

Theodore (upper body) will return to Vegas' lineup on Tuesday vs. Nashville.

Theodore has not played since mid-November after undergoing surgery for an upper-body injury but will return to the lineup on Tuesday after being activated from IR last week. Theodore was pacing for the most productive season of his career before his injury, with 18 points (4G / 14A) in 20 games and will likely draw back onto the top powerplay unit upon his return.
