Stone was originally listed as a game-time decision on Monday but was ruled out ahead of Tuesday's game in Los Angeles. Mattias Janmark will likely move up into the top-6 with Stone out.

Hart, Derick Brassard and Scott Laughton join Sean Couturier, who was added to the protocol list on Sunday. Despite losing four regulars to start the week, they are expected to get Kevin Hayes and Morgan Frost back in time for Wednesday's game.

The Predators had an outbreak before the Christmas break, so on the day where they activated six skaters, they also added three new players to the protocol list, including Sissons.

Stone missed part of the Golden Knights' most recent game (Dec.21) and was not on the ice for Monday's practice. Golden Knights' assistant coach Steve Spott called Stone a game-time decision for Tuesday's game in Los Angeles.

Howden is the third Golden Knights' skater to go into protocol recently, joining Alex Pietrangelo and Evgenii Dadonov. Both Pietrangelo and Dadonov could be back for New Year's Eve vs. the Ducks, while Howden is likely to miss the next four games.

With Hill going into protocol, Zach Sawchenko has been recalled from the AHL and will serve as James Reimer's backup on Tuesday.

The Golden Knights are one of two teams left before the Christmas break but adding Pietrangelo and Dadonov to the COVID-19 protocol list muddies the chances of this game happening. If it does happen, the Golden Knights will be without their top defenseman.

With Hart out, Martin Jones will get the start for the Flyers and a backup goalie will be recalled from the AHL.

Hagg suffered a lower-body injury in Winnipeg and is expected to miss multiple months. Colin Miller will draw back into the lineup to replace Hagg on Thursday.
