The Golden Knights signed Brayden McNabb to a three-year contract extension worth $8.55 million ($2.85M AAV) on Sunday.
McNabb has been with the Golden Knights since the beginning, averaging four goals, 11 assists, 87 shots, 215 hits and 166 blocked shots per 82 games in four and half seasons with Vegas. McNabb was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The Devils have recalled Akira Schmid from Utica (AHL).
Mackenzie Blackwood was moved to IR on Wednesday, so Schmid was recalled to pair with Jon Gillies as the Devils' goaltending duo moving forward. Schmid, who was a fifth-round pick in 2018, has been excellent in the AHL, going 9-0-2 with a 1.54 GAA and .948 SV% in 11 games.

With Smith in COVID-19 protocol, Jake Leschyshyn and Jonas Rondbjerg have been promoted to the active roster and one of them will play Monday. Mattias Janmark or Nicolas Roy will likely move up to the Golden Knights' top line.
