Hertl continues to deal with a lower-body injury and will miss his third straight game on Monday. The Sharks are 2-0 without Hertl but have scored just two goals in each game, so their offence is suffering without him.

Hart's inconsistent season continues, as he followed-up his four-game winning streak with a four-game losing skid while allowing just nine goals on 100 shots (.910 SV%). He'll look to get back into the win column on Monday when the Flyers host the Canucks. He stopped 22 of 24 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss in Vancouver in mid-October.

Hertl will miss Thursday's game in Vegas and is day-to-day. Head coach Pete DeBoer said that Hertl's injury is "not a knee" and "not serious." Antti Suomela will replace Hertl in the lineup.

Dowd's move to IR means he will miss at least one more game and it opens up a roster spot to call-up a forward to fill-in for Nicklas Backstrom, who is now dealing with an upper-body injury of his own.


Hertl was forced to leave Thursday's game in Anaheim with a knee injury but it won't cost him any games. This is obviously huge news for the Sharks because Hertl comes in on a five-game goal-scoring streak and has seven goals in his last seven games.

The Capitals will likely need to recall a forward to replace Dowd in the lineup on Friday night. Dowd suffered a deep cut on his hand in Philadelphia and will likely need a couple of days to let that heal before re-entering the Washington lineup.

Hart stopped 35 of 36 shots in the Flyers shootout loss to the Capitals on Wednesday. Hart had a tough finish to October but has been brilliant in November, going 4-0-1 with a 1.72 GAA and .939 SV%. The Senators have surprised a lot of people lately and have won three in a row on home-ice but Hart is still one of the best options on the slate.

Hart allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Flyers win in Boston on Sunday. Hart had an extremely tough end to October but has been red-hot to start November, going 4-0-0 with a 1.92 GAA and .929 SV% in his last four starts. Most of his struggles have come on the road, so he's a decent option on home-ice, where he is 4-1-0 with a 1.81 GAA, .930 SV% and one shutout.


Marner was forced to leave Saturday's game vs. the Flyers with an ankle injury that he suffered after getting tangled up and falling awkwardly on a face-off. Marner did not travel to Chicago for Sunday's game and could potentially be out for an extended period of time. Marner will undergo an MRI and the Maple Leafs should release a timetable early next week.


Dowd has been out of the lineup for the last three games but will replace Carl Hagelin vs. the Golden Knights. Dowd will centre the fourth line and re-enters the lineup with two goals and one assist in 11 games this season.

Hart allowed one goal on 34 shots in the Flyers win over the Hurricanes on Tuesday. Hart has won two straight while stopping 56 of the 60 shots (.933 SV%) that he has faced. The win also improved Hart to 3-1-0 with a. 1.76 GAA, .933 SV% and one shutout on home ice. Tonight they host a Montreal team that is 4-2-2 while averaging 3.88 goals per game on the road this year.
