Kampf (undisclosed) is expected to return to Toronto's lineup on Tuesday.

Kampf has not played since the All-Star break but will return to the Maple Leafs' lineup on Tuesday night. Lindgren was the first goalie off the ice at Washington's morning skate.

Lindgren snapped a four-game losing streak over the weekend and will likely return to the crease on Tuesday night. The 30-year-old Lindgren was sensational on Saturday, saving all 18 shots he faced in a 3-0 win over the Boston Bruins, giving him a career-high three shutouts this season. That said, the Capitals are +155 home underdogs on Tuesday, matching up poorly against the second-best offensive team in the league, the Colorado Avalanche (3.66 GF / GP).

Thompson (illness) will be out on Monday vs. Minnesota.

The Golden Knights have recalled Jiri Patera as Thompson is not able to play on Monday due to an illness. With Adin Hill back from injury, Thompson has been limited to only one game for the Golden Knights in their last five (4-1-0), a 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings when he allowed four goals on 28 shots (.857 SV%).

Lindgren will start Tuesday vs. Montreal.

The Capitals will turn to Lindgren on Tuesday, his third straight start, in their return to action from the All-Star break. Despite being favoured in between the pipes lately, starting four of the last five games (1-2-1), Lindgren has allowed three or more goals three times, posting an ugly .861 SV%. That said, the Capitals are -150 home favourites against Lindgren's former squad, the Montreal Canadiens, who have lost four of their last five (1-3-1).

Milano (upper body) returned to the Capitals' practice in a regular jersey Tuesday.

Milano has not played since December 10th, missing 22 games with an upper-body injury, but appears to be nearing a return to the lineup imminently. Milano had been held to only one point (1G / 0A) in his last nine games before his injury, firing only six shots on goal and averaging 11:19 time-on-ice.
