He takes on a Capitals team who lost the first game of their current back-to-back yesterday, in a 3-2 shootout to Carolina.
Carlson suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday and will not be available for Monday's game vs. the Hurricanes. Dmitry Orlov will move up to PP1 and Matt Irwin will make his season debut to replace Carlson.
