The Blue Jackets have sent Sonny Milano to Lake Erie (AHL).
Milano picked up one assist while averaging 13:23 TOI in his first three career NHL games. The 2014 16th overall pick returns to the AHL where he has 27 points (12G / 15A) in 48 games this season.
The Canadiens have signed Charlie Lindgren to a two-year contract.
Lindgren, 22, just finished up his season with St. Cloud State, where he went 30-9-1 with a 2.13 GAA and .925 SV%. Ben Scrivens will be placed on waivers to clear a roster spot for Lindgren to finish the season with the Canadiens.

The Blue Jackets have recalled Sonny Milano from Lake Erie (AHL).
Milano, 19, was the Blue Jackets first round pick (16th overall) in 2014. The young winger has registered 12 goals and 15 assists (27 points) in 48 games with Lake Erie this season. He could make his NHL debut in the Blue Jackets’ final six games of the regular season.
The Capitals have activated John Carlson (lower-body) from IR; expected to play on Friday.
Carlson (lower-body) travelled to New Jersey and could return to the lineup on Friday.
Carlson has been sidelined by a lower-body since February 24th, but it looks like he will return to the lineup tonight in New Jersey. Carlson’s status will not be known until head coach Barry Trotz meets with the media around 5 p.m. ET. Carlson has 31 points (6G / 25A) in 47 games this season.

The Kings have recalled Nic Dowd from Ontario (AHL).
Dowd, 25, was a seventh round pick (198th overall) in 2009. He has collected 13 goals and 35 assists (48 points) in 57 games with Ontario this season. With Kris Versteeg out, he has been recalled for depth but could make his NHL debut on Tuesday.
Carlson will miss 3-4 weeks after undergoing a procedure on his lower-body injury.
Carlson has had a great season, but will miss an extended period of time for the second time this season. Carlson underwent a procedure on his unspecified lower-body injury and will keep him out for 3-4 weeks. He is expected to be moved to long-term IR but should be back before the playoffs.
Ovechkin (lower-body) will return to the Capitals lineup on Thursday.
Ovechkin will not play Tuesday due to one-game suspension for skipping the All-Star Game.
Ovechkin missed the All-Star game due to a nagging lower-body injury, so he has to serve a one-game suspension but is expected to return to the lineup on Thursday. With Ovechkin out, look for Stanislav Galiev to be back in the lineup tomorrow.
Carlson (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.
Carlson (lower-body) has been upgraded from doubtful to possible for Wednesday.
Carlson took part in Tuesday’s practice and has been upgraded to “possible” for Wednesday’s game. Monitor his status during the Capitals morning skate.
McIlrath in; Boyle out.
McIlrath was a healthy scratch in the last three games, but will replace Dan Boyle tonight in the second game of a back-to-back. McIlrath has two goals and one assist in 20 games this season.
Carlson (lower-body) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game.
Carlson practiced again on Thursday, but he remains doubtful for Friday’s contest. Monitor his status during tomorrow’s morning skate, but it doesn’t look like he will be in the lineup.
Carlson (lower-body) is in Columbus, but will not play on Tuesday.
Carlson traveled to Columbus with the team, but will sit out for the 12th consecutive game. With Carlson out and Aaron Ness back in Hershey (AHL), Ryan Stanton will play on Tuesday.

Carlson will miss his eighth consecutive game with a lower-body injury, but he is not expected to be out much longer. Look for Carlson to be back in the lineup next week—his first chance will come on Thursday when the Capitals take on the Canucks.
