With Patrik Laine out, Tanev has been recalled and could draw into the lineup on Monday. Since being sent down in late-December, Tanev scored one goal with two assists (three points) in six games with Manitoba. Tanev or Chris Thorburn will play in place of Laine.

He will take on a Buffalo team that has lost seven of their last nine (2-4-3), but the 23-year-old is 6-7-0 with a 2.96 GAA and .899 SV% on the road this season.
Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 36 shots in the Jets’ win in Tampa Bay last night. Even though he gave up a four-spot, Hellebuyck will man the crease again tonight in Florida. He has gone 5-7-0 with a 3.12 GAA and .893 SV% on the road this season, but walked away on the right side of a 4-3 shootout final in his first start vs. the Panthers.
Hellebuyck was yanked after he allowed four goals on 15 shots in the Jets’ loss to the Islanders last Saturday. Hellebuyck went 4-4-1 with a 3.06 GAA and .898 SV, making it his worst month of the season thus far. Tonight he faces the Lightning for the first time this season—he is 4-7-0 with a 3.04 GAA and .894 SV% on the road this season.
Namestnikov was crushed by Shea Weber on Wednesday and will come out of the lineup on Thursday. Erik Condra was recalled this morning and will draw in for Namestnikov.

Tanev, 24, has two goals and two assists (four points) in 35 games with the Jets this season. With the Jets getting healthier, Tanev has been a healthy scratch of the last two games and will head down to Manitoba.
Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 23 shots in the Jets’ loss in Vancouver last Tuesday. Michael Hutchinson started on Thursday, but they’ll come back to Hellebuyck tonight in Chicago. Playing in Chicago is always a tough test, but Hellebuyck is 2-0-0 with a 0.50 GAA, .981 SV% and one shutout in two starts vs. the Blackhawks this season.
Hellebuyck stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Jets’ win over the Avalanche on Sunday. After losing three straight, Hellebuyck has now won two in a row while stopping 68 of 72 shots (.944 SV%). He draws a really good matchup in Vancouver, stub has gone 3-6-0 with an ugly 3.27 GAA and .885 SV% in nine starts on the road so far this season.

Hellebuyck has gone 1-2-1 with a 3.58 GAA and .876 SV% in four starts and one relief appearance in the month of December. Tonight he takes on the Panthers on home-ice—Hellebuyck has gone 7-4-1 with a 2.36 GAA and .922 SV% at the MTS Centre.
Connor has been a healthy scratch for the last five games and will head to Manitoba to get more playing time. Connor made the team out of training camp, but only picked up one goal and three assists (four points) in 19 games.
Scheifele has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but he will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Rangers. Scheifele has been great this season, scoring 13 goals with 13 assists (26 points) in 26 games. He will skate in the middle of Drew Stafford and Blake Wheeler tonight.
DeMelo will replace David Schlemko (lower-body) in the lineup vs. the Senators. DeMelo has registered one goal in the two games he’s played in with the Sharks this season.
Scheifele will miss his third straight game with a lower-body injury. Scheifele did not skate this morning, which suggests that he isn’t that close to playing. Monitor his status prior to Thursday’s game, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be back in.

Tonight he will make his second start vs. Detroit—he stopped 30 of 33 shots in a 5-3 win over the Red Wings in the first meeting.
