The Cheat Sheet: February 19th, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 9 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how today’s numbers break down, using the trusty database-recall system.

Saturday’s Sheet:

– I think that head-to-head history weighs a lot into today’s picks. All 3 of these teams have had quite a bit of success this season versus their respective opponents. Quite frankly, the bettting lines are not that great though, and obviously it’s better to attack lines that are weak, and not lines that are well-set.

– One thing to maybe look into might be the Grand Salami (the bet involving all the games on the board today). I’ve got a projected 51 goals here–29 from the home teams and 22 from the road teams. So, see if you can get a favorable line for the Home Teams and the Over.

– Taking Sunday off to reflect on my choices in life. Be back on Monday.

Agree with the Gold pick? Disagree with it? See a betting line on the board that seems wrong? You know what to do (fill up the comment section).
