The Cheat Sheet: February 1st, 2011

Updated: February 1, 2011 at 3:51 am by Jeff Tay

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: a whopping 13 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how today’s numbers break down, using the trusty database-recall system.

Tuesday’s Sheet:

– I’ve gotta say that these are some really ugly Gold, Silver, and Bronze picks today. I don’t think that any of these 3 teams are worth the odds that they’re getting–but that’s coming from a guy who doesn’t bet NHL favorites much.

– PHX +150, on the other hand–now that’s a mega-value deal!

– My crackpot theory of the day is that coming out of the break, teams are gonna play a little more loosey-goosey. Give me the OVER in CHI/CBJ, for starters.

Agree with the Gold pick? Disagree with it? See a betting line on the board that seems wrong? You know what to do (fill up the comment section).
