The Cheat Sheet: February 23rd, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 6 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how today’s numbers break down, using the trusty database-recall system.

Wednesday’s Sheet:

– Brian Elliott’s first start for the Avalanche will be interesting. Maybe he pulls a ‘Craig Anderson’, and stands on his head in his debut. The prediction here is that he pulls a ‘Brian Elliott’ instead though, and posts another save percentage in the .800’s.

– PHX/TBL betting lines listed above are not official. I just had to type something in to avoid a ‘system error’. Tampa Bay is on its way back down to Earth though. Goaltending is once again the issue.

Agree with the Gold pick? Disagree with it? See a betting line on the board that seems wrong? You know what to do (fill up the comment section).
