The Cheat Sheet: February 28th, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 2 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how today’s numbers break down, using the trusty database-recall system.

Monday’s Sheet:

– The combination of the flu, and multiple gut-wrenching late third period losses, currently has my head spinning. I’m really catching the wrong side of the coins lately (especially with the flu).

– Chicago Blackhawks–I’m on it. The Wild give up too many SOG, and the Blackhawks aren’t going quietly–they are currently on a ferocious playoff push. Aside from that though, this appears to a tough matchup for Minnesota–Niklas Backstrom should end up being much busier than Corey Crawford in this game.

– Detroit Red Wings–forget about it. They’re travelling east to west, and have already been having troubles with slow starts lately to begin with. I think just stick with the Gold.

Agree with the Gold pick? Disagree with it? See a betting line on the board that seems wrong? You know what to do (fill up the comment section).
