The Cheat Sheet: January 22nd, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 11 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how the computer has analyzed the betting board today.

Saturday’s Sheet:

Non-Computer Pick (highlighted in green): With both Crosby and Malkin out for Pittsburgh, I gotta go with Carolina +135. The computer wasn’t able to compute it, but I was–Pittsburgh’s offense should struggle a ton here.

I’m digging the Gold pick today too. I don’t expect San Jose to run away with this one.

Chicago might be able to jump on a road-weary Detroit club. How the Hawks respond after 5 days of rest will be the x-factor.

Agree with the Gold pick? Disagree with it? See a betting line on the board that seems wrong? You know what to do (fill up the comment section).
