The Cheat Sheet: January 26th, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 9 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how the computer has analyzed the betting board today (with it’s updated formulas and new bet ranking system).

All right, so it looks like it’s more underdogs again today, but let’s face it, the odds for a lot of NHL faves lately have been garbage. Was Chicago a -200 favorite yesterday against Minnesota? Ridiculous!

Anyway, barring any goaltending changes, PHX is the Gold Play today. My thoughts: “I couldn’t care less about the Avalanche defense strugg-el-ing. I just want to fade them”… Somthing along those lines. If LaBarbera goes in, I’ll have my public apology ready.
