The Cheat Sheet: March 18th, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 4 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Friday’s Sheet:

– The rough week continues for our predictions here, but I’m not ready to freak out just yet.

– Today we have a couple of value plays (not lock winners, but getting good odds). I’m actually more high on the Silver pick than I am on the Gold pick though. There are some signs that the Canucks really just have it on first gear at the moment, while teams that are actually fighting for playoff spots, like the Coyotes, are really giving it their all.  It didn’t exactly show up in their 17 shot effort in Edmonton last night, but the Coyotes should be bringing their A-games to this one, which ought to be good enough to win here about 40% of the time.
