The Cheat Sheet: March 24th, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 9 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how today’s numbers break down, using the trusty database-recall system.

Thursday’s Sheet:

– Looks like we’re fading the Kings again today. LA simply doesn’t generate enough scoring chances for our liking. The prediction here is that the Sharks spend all night playing at the offensive end of the rink. If LA scores on some odd-man rushes, then so be it.

– I think it’s become common knowledge now that the Bruins have trouble vs. the Habs. Montreal is banged up, but I still think there is value with them at +160. If this heated rivalry comes down to special teams, Montreal has the decisive edge.

Agree with the Gold pick? Disagree with it? See a betting line on the board that seems wrong? You know what to do (fill up the comment section).
