The Cheat Sheet: March 5th, 2011

Gather around hockey fans and devoted gamblers, it’s time for our daily meeting before we go off and make some potentially regrettable decisions with our money. Today on the docket: 10 games, sorted into Gold picks, Silver Picks, Bronze Picks, and black lumps of coal.

Let’s see how today’s numbers break down, using the trusty database-recall system.

Saturday’s Sheet:

– The absence of Taylor Hall kind of puts a bit of a damper on the gold-picked Edmonton Oilers today. I don’t think either of these teams really care about their places in the standings anymore though, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see plenty of wide-open hockey (and scoring) in this game.

– Anyone on Chicago today? The Blackhawks are clearly the better team in this matchup, but the Cinderella Leafs are making a charge towards the post-season ball.

– There are a lot of good, competitive-looking games today.

Agree with the Gold pick? Disagree with it? See a betting line on the board that seems wrong? You know what to do (fill up the comment section).
