The Nation Network partners with SensChirp

The Nation Network is excited to announce a new partnership with SensChirp — one of the top Ottawa Senators fan websites in the hockey world.

Always looking to bring news around the NHL to fans of the Nation, we’re really looking forward to working with an already great team at SensChirp. I will be working on generating content for the website and moving forward we have very high hopes for what can be done.

While Ottawa is far from the top team in the NHL these days, it’s an organization with a promising future and with what looks like a few top picks in the draft this year, things could get fun out east quick.

Here’s a bit about SensChirp, written by them:

It started in 2007, I think. I was crawling my way towards a degree in Communications and starting to become overwhelmed with the idea of actually finding a job when I finished university. Bruce Garrioch seemed to have a pretty strong hold on the Sens’ beat, moving away from Ottawa didn’t really appeal to me and my audition for an on-air gig with The Score has ended in a moment similar to the “boom goes the dynamite” guy. My options seemed limited. It was in those moments of desperation that SensChirp was born…. Fast forward 12 years, thousands of posts and millions of comments later and SensChirp is still alive and kickin’. What started as a rumour here and a Saprykin trade there has rapidly evolved into one of the most active online hockey communities anywhere on the internet. The last few years have been tough though. With a full-time job, two young children and a team that has generally sucked for three years now, it has been challenging to keep things going. To keep things interesting. But with today’s announcement, we have a chance to take things to the next level.

For me and the Nation, this is an exciting day to bring on another website to the network. We’re always looking at ways to bring more information and content to the table, and this is just another step. We hope that you’ll all take some time to welcome SensChirp to the Nation Network and you can go check them out on Twitter @SensChirp.
