Tomas Kopecky a late scratch; Evan Brophey recalled

Updated: October 23, 2010 at 6:13 pm by Alexander Monaghan

Chicago Blackhawks winger Tomas Kopecky will not play tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets due to a minor upper-body injury.  As one of the biggest surprises of the season, Kopecky has one goal and seven assists over his first nine games of the year.

There has been no word if Kopecky will return for the team’s next game on Wednesday, October 27th against the Los Angeles Kings.  In the meantime, the Blackhawks called up 23-year-old Evan Brophey from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.
