What we learned on Day 1 of NHL Training Camp 2.0 (Western Conference)

Monday was Day 1 of the NHL’s Return to Play program with all 24 teams taking to the ice to begin their summer training camps.

Below I have listed everything that I learned today for each team in the Western Conference, including lines and pairings.


Opting Out

  • – @Michael Grabner reportedly thought about opting out but has elected to play; will remain off of the ice while he goes through the Return to Play protocol.
    – @Derek Stepan was deemed unfit to participate on Day 1.
  • – @Conor Garland took part on Day 1 after suffering a lower-body injury a few days before the season was paused.
