Zetterberg Out At Least 2 Weeks

Add another one.  Zetterberg joins Niklas Kronwall, Valtteri Filppula, Daniel Cleary, Jonathan Ericsson, Darren Helm, Jason Williams, Johan Franzen and Andres Lilja (out since last season) on the Wings’ injured list.  Zetterberg should be out at least two weeks with a shoulder separation but apparently drove himself to the hospital for his own MRI.  However, that also means Zetterberg will be riding your bench and not be eligible for an IR spot.

With Zetterberg out, Detroit’s lineup keeps getting more and more depleted – 5 of their top 8 forwards are out of the lineup.  Guys like Justin Abdelkader were never supposed to play regularly but he’s played in all but 3 games for the Wings this season.

It’s unsure what the Wings’ new lines will look like but Darren Helm could return in-time from his wrist injury.
