Scheifele left Wednesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Scheifele left yesterday’s game after crushing hard into the corner and left the ice in a lot of pain. Head coach Paul Maurice said that the Jets will have an update on Scheifele on Thursday but the initial prognosis doesn’t appear to be positive.

Scheifele (lower-body) will return to the Jets lineup on Thursday.

Scheifele has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but he will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Rangers. Scheifele has been great this season, scoring 13 goals with 13 assists (26 points) in 26 games. He will skate in the middle of Drew Stafford and Blake Wheeler tonight.

Scheifele (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game.

Scheifele finished the morning skate without a hitch, but news has emerged that he will be a game-time decision tonight. There's no word on what is ailing the start centre, but be sure to monitor his status during pregame warmups.

Mark Scheifele
The Jets signed Mark Scheifele to an eight-year deal worth $49 million ($6.125M AAV).

Scheifele, 23, the former seventh overall pick (2011) is coming off of his best season as a professional, having collected 61 points (29G / 32A) in 71 games. The 6-foot-3 centre emerged as the Jets’ top-line centre and this extension will keep him in that role for many years to come. If Scheifele can stay healthy in 2016-17, he could approach the 70-point plateau.

Scheifele (concussion) will return to the Jets lineup on Tuesday.

Scheifele has missed the last seven games with a concussion, but will return to the Jets lineup tonight in Arizona. Scheifele is expected to centre the second line with Joel Armia and Drew Stafford on his wings. Scheifele has 23 points (12G / 11A) in 37 games this season.

Mark Scheifele
Scheifele (undisclosed) will not play on Tuesday.

Scheifele was a scratch in Sunday’s game vs. the Sabres and will miss five-to-seven days with an undisclosed injury. With Scheifele out, Anthony Peluso is expected to remain in the lineup. Don’t expect to see Scheifele for the rest of the week.

Mark Scheifele
Scheifele (lower-body) is not on the ice for warmups; will not play vs. Sabres.

Scheifele was listed as a game-time decision, but is not on the ice for warmups, so he will be scratched for the fifth time in the last eight games. With Scheifele out, look for Anthony Peluso to be back in the lineup. Consider Scheifele as day-to-day.

Mark Scheifele
Scheifele (undisclosed) missed Saturday's practice; will be a game-time decision on Sunday.

Scheifele was not at Saturday’s practice because of an undisclosed injury and because the Jets have an afternoon game, they will not have a morning skate, so Schiefele will be a game-time decision. Monitor his status around 1 p.m ET when Paul Maurice meets with the media or at 2:30 p.m ET when the Jets hit the ice for warmups.

The Jets have activated Mark Scheifele (concussion) off of IR; expected to play on Sunday.

Scheifele has missed the last four games with a concussion, but he was activated on Sunday and is expected to play in Anaheim. The Jets did not hold a morning skate, so there is no indication who Scheifele will play with, but it is expected to be Mathieu Perreault and Nikolaj Ehlers.

Mark Scheifele
Scheifele (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Scheifele took part in the Jets’ morning skate after being injured in Sunday’s game vs. the Devils. He will skate with Adam Lowry and Michael Frolik if he is able to go tonight. It has been a slow start for Scheifele, who has seven points (2G / 5A) in 18 games.

Jets head coach Paul Maurice confirms Scheifele has MCL sprain, out at least four weeks.

Updating an earlier report, the original timetable was 6-8 weeks, but it sounds like that is worst case scenario. Expect him to land on IR and the Jets to call-up a centreman from St. John's (AHL).

Mark Scheifele
Early reports suggest Scheifele suffered an MCL injury likely out 6-8 weeks.

This is a huge blow for the Jets. Scheifele is the Jets best two-way centre and this certainly hurts their chances at a playoff push, they are currently one-point out. With Scheifele out, this could force the Jets to be sellers at the deadline, rather than buyers.

Mark Scheifele
Scheifele left Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Scheifele was hit by Calvin de Haan and appeared to suffer a knee injury. Scheifele did not return for the third period, but this could be a huge loss for the Jets if he misses a lengthy period of time. He will be re-evaluated Wednesday and the severity of his injury will reportedly alter how the Jets will approach the trade deadline.

Mark Scheifele
Jets announce Scheifele has been reassigned to Barrie Colts.

Scheifele only appeared in 4 games this season and served as a healthy scratch in 5 games. This is a good move for the Jets as he will get more playing time and opportunity in the OHL. Scheifele is a big part of the Jets future and there is no sense just having him sit and watch the games.
