Nashville will expectedly turn back to Saros for Game 3 on Friday at home after he impressed in Game 2 by stopping 17 of 18 shots (.944 SV%) in a road victory to even the series. The 29-year-old had yet another strong regular season this year with his 35-24-5 record, 2.86 GAA and .906 SV%. He will look to take a series lead on Friday as Nashville hosts Vancouver, who will look to get back to their scoring ways after finishing the regular season fourth in the NHL in goals per game (3.4).


Nylander was very short in answering any media questions in regards to the migraines that have kept him out for the first three games of the playoffs but was a full participant in practice Friday and will be a game-time decision for Game 4 Saturday vs. Boston. The 27-year-old completed his second-straight 82-game season this year and had a career-high 40 goals, 98 points and 312 SOG while averaging 19:54 TOI/GP.







Wennberg missed practice on Thursday due to an undisclosed injury and was originally considered a game-time decision but has stated himself that he will play in Game 3 vs. Washington on Friday. The 28-year-old was acquired at the trade deadline from Seattle and has yet to pick up a point in the playoffs while averaging 16:17 TOI.

Jensen has yet to appear in either of Washington's opening playoff losses but will be a game-time decision for Game 3 on Friday.

Sandin has been out since April 7th due to an upper-body injury but is close to returning and a game-time decision for Game 3 on Friday vs. New York. The 24-year-old will make a welcome return if he is able to suit up after he posted career highs in points (23), games played (68) and SOG (79) while averaging 21:07 TOI per game.

Aube-Kubel will head to the press box for Game 3 on Friday vs. New York as Ivan Miroshnichenko draws into the lineup for the first time in the playoffs. Aube-Kubel won a Stanley Cup with Colorado in 2021-22 but has struggled so far in the postseason as he has failed to record a point and SOG while averaging 9:02 TOI.

Miroshnichenko will take the spot of Nicolas Aube-Kubel as he makes his playoff debut on Friday for Game 3 vs. New York. The 20-year-old rookie appeared in one-fourth of Washington's regular season games and had two goals, six points, 30 SOG, and six PIMs in 21 games played.

With Washington down 2-0 they will turn back to Charlie Lindgren on Friday for Game 3 at home. The 30-year-old has allowed four goals in each of the Capitals' losses to start the playoffs and will look to build off his .864 SV%. He'll attempt to slow down the New York Rangers on Friday, who finished the regular season with the leagues best record and were seventh in the NHL in goals per game (3.39).

Perbix will draw in along with Tanner Jeannot after both players sat out Game 2 on Tuesday. Maxwell Crozier and Calvin de Haan will draw out of the lineup in their place.
