Dvorsky will take a seat along with Nathan Walker and Tyler Tucker as the Blues opt to get some fresh legs into the lineup for the tail-end of their back-to-back. Oskar Sundqvist, Jonatan Berggren, and Justin Holl will all draw into the lineup in their place.

Dvorsky was drafted 10th-overall by the Blues in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old Slovak forward played two games with the Blues last season, but spent most of the campaign in the AHL, where he scored 45 points (21G / 24A) in 61 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Mathieu Joseph will be a healthy scratch on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers, allowing Dvorsky to re-enter the lineup. The 19-year-old Dvorsky made his NHL debut two weeks ago and recorded zero points in 10:40 time-on-ice.

Dvorsky was St.Louis' 2023 first-round pick (10th overall) and has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Blues. The 18-year-old Slovakian forward had six goals, eight assists, 16 PIMs and a -19 plus/minus through 38 games with AIK of the HockeyAllsvenskan League. He is currently expected to play for IK Oskarshamn of the SHL in 2023-24.
