Tkachuk (illness) will return on Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

Tkachuk has not played since the second game of the season on October 10th, missing five contests, but is on schedule for his targeted return date of October 22nd. Over the past three seasons, Tkachuk has been among the league leaders in the NHL, averaging 1.25 points per game. He has two points (0G / 2A) and seven shots on goal in two games this season and will reclaim his spot on the Panthers' top line and top powerplay unit.

Matthew Tkachuk
Spurgeon (lower-body) has resumed skating in Minnesota, but it's unknown if he'll join the team on their current road trip.

After missing 66 games in 2023-24 due to injury, Jared Spurgeon has missed three straight games in the 2024-25 campaign due to a lower-body injury. The 34-year-old Spurgeon was replaced by Declan Chisholm since he exited the lineup on October 12th.

Harris will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday vs. Toronto.

After playing their last contest with seven defensemen, the Blue Jackets will return to the traditional 12-6 formation as Kevin Labanc will draw into the lineup in favor of Harris. Harris played the last three games for the Blue Jackets, recording a -1 plus/minus, four penalty minutes, two shots, and one hit.

Jordan Harris
Labanc will draw back into Columbus' lineup on Tuesday vs. Toronto.

The Blue Jackets will return to the traditional 12-6 formation on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs as Labanc will draw back into the lineup and Jordan Harris will be a healthy scratch. Labanc was signed by the Blue Jackets prior to the start of the season and has added some offensive contributions, tallying two points (0G / 2A) in three games.

Kevin Labanc
Tarasov will start on Tuesday vs. Toronto.

Elvis Merzlikins (upper body) is back with the Blue Jackets, but the team will turn to Tarasov between the pipes for a third straight game on Tuesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Despite a pedestrian 3.70 GAA and .875 SV%, Tarasov has been serviceable between the pipes for the Blue Jackets, helping them post a 2-1-0 record when he has been in goal. That said, the Blue Jackets enter action as sizeable +194 road underdogs against a Maple Leafs club that defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 last night.

Daniil Tarasov
Allen is in the starter's crease at New Jersey's morning skate.

The Devils will turn to Allen between the pipes for only the third time in nine games this season, despite stellar play in limited action thus far. In his two games this season, Allen has been tremendous, winning both contests (2-0-0) and posting a gaudy 0.50 GAA and .974 SV%. The Devils enter the action on Tuesday as -148 home favorites against a Tampa Bay Lightning club that was defeated 5-2 by the Toronto Maple Leafs last night.

Jake Allen
Luukkonen is in the starter's net at Buffalo's morning skate.

For the first time this season, in their eighth game, the Sabres will use the same netminder in consecutive games, turning to Luukkonen again to occupy the crease on Tuesday evening against the Dallas Stars. Luukkonen was stellar in his previous outing, saving 35 of 37 shots (.946 SV%) in a 4-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. That said, Luukkonen has a less appealing 3.26 GAA and .895 SV% this season (1-3-0), and the Sabres are +126 home underdogs against a Dallas Stars club that defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 in their last contest.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Dunn (mid-body) has been placed on LTIR.

Dunn, a staple on the back end since joining Seattle in their inaugural 2021-22 season, has been placed on Long-Term Injured Reserve, a crushing blow for Seattle's defensive core. Dunn has scored 110 points (25G / 85A) in 140 games over the last two seasons. In a corresponding move, the team has recalled Cale Fleury from Coachella Valley of the AHL.

Vince Dunn
Fleury has been recalled from Coachella Valley (AHL).

With Vince Dunn (upper body) being placed on Injured Reserve, Seattle has recalled Fleury from Coachella Valley (AHL). After playing 41 games with the Montreal Canadiens in his rookie season in 2019-20, the 25-year-old Fleury has only played 22 combined NHL games since. Last season with Coachella Valley, Fleury had 36 points (7G / 29A) in 65 games.

Cale Fleury
Tarasov is in the starter's crease at the Blue Jackets morning skate.

The Islanders have recalled Liam Foudy from Bridgeport (AHL).

With Julie Gauthier cleared waivers on Monday, the Islanders have recalled Foudy from Bridgeport (AHL). The 24-year-old Foudy was the 18th overall pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He played 62 games with the Blue Jackets in the 2022-23 season, scoring 14 points (7G / 7A), but has primarily been an AHL player.

Liam Foudy
Vasilevskiy will start in Toronto on Monday.

Tampa Bay will turn to Vasilevskiy for the fifth time in five games to start the 2024-25 season. The 30-year-old former Vezina-trophy winner was stellar in his first two games (2-0-0), saving 46 of 48 shots (.958 SV%), before faltering in his last two (1-1-0), allowing eight goals on 53 shots (.849 SV%). Tampa Bay enters Monday night's contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs as +127 road underdogs. That said, Vasilevskiy has been terrific in his career against the Maple Leafs, posting a 2.50 GAA and .921 SV% in 27 outings (15-10-2).

Andrei Vasilevskiy
Gibson (appendectomy) will travel with Anaheim on their upcoming road trip.

Gibson underwent an emergency appendectomy on September 25th and is about four weeks into his original 3-6 week timeline. The American netminder has failed to produce a save percentage above .900 in each of the last two seasons and beginning 2024-25 on the Injured Reserve is a tough way to ensure a bounce-back campaign after only 13 wins in 2023-24. In addition, Lukas Dostal has been tremendous filling in for Gibson in his absence, posting a 2.48 GAA and .931 SV% in four games (2-1-1).

John Gibson
Karlsson (undisclosed) will not return on Tuesday but has a possibility on Friday vs. Ottawa.

Karlsson has not played yet this season after being injured late in the preseason. He has miss the first six games of the season and miss at least a seventh, but could return to the lineup on Friday against the Ottawa Senators. The 31-year-old Karlsson had 30 goals and 60 points in 70 games played in 2023-24.

William Karlsson
Olofsson (lower-body) is week-to-week.

Olofsson has missed the last two games due to a lower-body injury and will likely miss several more. The 29-year-old Olofsson had started his tenure with the Golden Knights in a positive way, scoring three goals in his first four games. Pavel Dorofeyev has been the main benefactor in Olofsson's absence, finding himself on the top powerplay unit in Vegas.
