DeSmith will start in Detroit on Tuesday.

DeSmith has deservedly seen an increase in playing time lately and will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings for his sixth start in the Stars' last 13 games. The 34-year-old DeSmith has been outstanding for Dallas this season, posting a 2.20 GAA and .920 SV% in 13 games (9-1-3). He is coming off just his second sub- .900 SV% outing, but still recorded a victory, saving 22 of 25 shots (.880 SV%) in an 8-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks. The Stars enter Tuesday's contest as -124 road favorites against a Red Wings team that has won four of their last five (4-1-0).

Casey DeSmith
Knight will start vs. Philadelphia on Tuesday.

The Blackhawks' struggles continue amid a five-game losing skid with Connor Bedard (upper body) out of the lineup, turning to Knight to hopefully lead them to a victory on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. The 24-year-old Knight was solid in his most recent outing, saving 31 of 34 shots (.912 SV%), but received no goal support, a recurring problem for the Blackhawks, in a 4-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Knight has a 2.57 GAA and .914 SV% in 24 games this season (10-9-5).

Spencer Knight
Danault will make his Canadiens' debut in Boston on Tuesday.

Danault had an extremely quiet season offensively, going goalless with just five assists in 30 games this season with the Kings. Danault, who is signed through 2026-27 with a cap-hit of $5.5M, reportedly expressed a desire to be traded and the Kings facilitated a deal in exchange for a 2026 2nd Round Pick. Danault returns to Montreal, where he played from 2016 to 2021.

Phillip Danault
Swayman will start vs. Montreal on Tuesday.

Despite rebounding from a poor 2024-25 season, Swayman currently finds himself in a bit of a cold stretch. The 27-year-old American goalie has seen the Bruins lose in four of his last five appearances (1-3-1) while posting a subpar 3.05 GAA and .864 SV%. He has a 2.78 GAA and .906 SV% in 25 games this season (14-9-1). The Bruins enter Tuesday's contest as -123 home favorites against a Montreal Canadiens team with points in three straight games (2-0-1).

Jeremy Swayman
Ullmark will start vs. Buffalo on Tuesday.

Ullmark has had a shaky 2025-26 season, posting a 2.85 GAA and .884 SV% in 26 games. That said, the 32-year-old goalie is amid his best stretch of the season, winning four straight while posting an impressive 1.85 GAA and .928 SV%. The Senators enter the action on Wednesday as -152 home favorites against a surging Buffalo Sabres team that is on a season-best six-game winning streak.

Linus Ullmark
Wilson (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision vs. NYR on Tuesday.

Wilson is battling an undisclosed ailment and could be at risk of missing his first game. The 31-year-old Wilson is having an outstanding season, pacing for career bests in nearly all offensive categories, tallying 34 points (17G / 17A), 97 hits, and 84 shots in 36 games.

Tom Wilson
Arvidsson (lower-body) will be a game-time decision vs. Montreal on Tuesday.

Arvidsson has not played in nearly two weeks, but will be a game-time decision to return to the lineup in Boston's final game before the Holiday Break. The 32-year-old Arvidsson is averaging 14:15 time-on-ice and has 14 points (7G / 7A) in 25 games this season. Michael Eyssimont will be the odd man out of the lineup as a healthy scratch.

Viktor Arvidsson
Soderstrom is expected to be a healthy scratch vs. Montreal on Tuesday.

Vladislav Kolyachonok will draw into the lineup for his Bruins' debut on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens, resulting in Soderstrom being a healthy scratch. The 24-year-old Soderstrom is averaging 13:41 time-on-ice and has one assist in eight games this season.

Victor Soderstrom
Eyssimont is expected to be a healthy scratch vs. Montreal on Tuesday.

Viktor Arvidsson (lower body) may return to Boston's lineup on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens, sending Eyssimont to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 29-year-old Eyssimont is averaging 11:45 time-on-ice and has 14 points (6G / 8A) in 35 games this season.

Michael Eyssimont
Ullmark was the first goalie off the ice at Ottawa's morning skate.

Kolyachonok is expected to make his Bruins' debut on Tuesday vs. Montreal.

Victor Soderstrom will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday, allowing Kolyachonok to make his debut with the Bruins. Kolyachonok was claimed by the Bruins on waivers from the Dallas Stars last week. The 24-year-old played in 11 games with Dallas, scoring three points (1G / 2A), but with regulars returning to the lineup, Kolyachonok found himself out of the lineup and ultimately on waivers.

Vladislav Kolyachonok
Logan Thompson will start vs. the Rangers on Tuesday.

The Capitals have lost six of their last 10 (4-3-3) and hope to enter the Holiday Break on a high note, with Thompson tending the twine against the New York Rangers. The 28-year-old Thompson has been stellar this season, posting a 2.09 GAA and .924 SV% in 25 games (14-8-3). He has two shutouts in his last five games (2-2-1). The Capitals enter Tuesday's contest as -163 home favorites against a Rangers team that is tied for the league lead with 13 road wins.

Logan Thompson
Andersen will start vs. Florida on Tuesday.

Poor play from Andersen has relegated him to the third-string duties, but he will have a chance to redeem himself on Tuesday, tending the twine against the Florida Panthers. The 36-year-old veteran goalie has lost eight of his last nine decisions (1-6-2) while posting an ugly 3.35 and .856 SV%. The Hurricanes enter the action on Tuesday as -143 home favorites against a surging Panthers team that is 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.

Frederik Andersen
Gibson will start vs. Dallas on Tuesday.

The Red Wings are 7-2-1 in their last 10 and can attribute much of their recent success to the stellar play of Gibson between the pipes. The 32-year-old Gibson started his tenure with the Red Wings poorly, but he is starting to look like the goalie the team hoped for when they acquired him in the offseason. Gibson has won seven straight while posting an excellent 2.05 GAA and .934 SV%. The Red Wings enter the action on Tuesday as +112 home underdogs against a Dallas Stars team on a four-game winning streak.

John Gibson
Dunn left Monday's game vs. Anaheim with an undisclosed injury and did not return.

Dunn exited Monday's 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks after only 15:14 time-on-ice due to an undisclosed injury. The Kraken return to action on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings, but no update has been provided on Dunn's status yet. The 29-year-old defenseman has 19 points (5G / 14A) in 34 games this season.

Vince Dunn
Grubauer will start in Anaheim on Monday.

In the front end of a back-to-back, the Kraken will turn to Grubauer to tend the twine. The 34-year-old Grubauer has never had a solid footing since joining Seattle, but he has played well lately despite recording three straight losses (0-3-0), posting a 3.00 GAA and .906 SV%. Seattle enters the action on Monday as a +147 road underdog against the Anaheim Ducks, whom they defeated 3-1 in their only other meeting this season.

Philipp Grubauer
Forsberg will start against the Blue Jackets on Monday.

With Darcy Kuemper (upper body) still on IR, the Kings will turn to Forsberg on Monday in the front end of a back-to-back. The 33-year-old Forsberg has showcased a mixed bag of results in his first season with the Kings, posting a 2.69 GAA and .901 SV% in 12 games (5-4-3). That said, he is coming off one of his best outings of the season, a 31-save performance (.969 SV%) in a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Kings enter the action on Monday as -160 home favorites against a struggling Blue Jackets team that sits in last place in the Eastern Conference (14-15-6).

Anton Forsberg
Vasilevskiy will start against the Blues on Monday.

After a two-week absence due to an injury, Vasilevskiy is showcasing an uncharacteristic 3.00 GAA and .857 SV% in two games (1-1-0). The 31-year-old goalie will return to the crease on Monday, hoping to return to the elite form he was displaying before his injury, posting a dazzling 1.35 GAA and .953 SV% in seven games (6-1-0). Tampa Bay enters the action on Monday as significant -237 home favorites against a St. Louis Blues team coming off an impressive 6-2 win over the Florida Panthers.

Andrei Vasilevskiy
Liljegren (upper-body) will remain out vs. Vegas on Tuesday.

Liljegren did not play in San Jose's most recent game and will remain out of the lineup on Tuesday against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 26-year-old defenseman has missed several multi-game stints due to injuries in the last month. He has four assists in 28 games this season.
