Demko will start against the Islanders on Wednesday.

Demko will be the starter for the Cancuks on Wednesday and will look to build on a tremendous start to the season. Among all goalies who have played at least 10 games, Demko ranks first in goals against average (1.96) and save percentage (.935). He will look to pad those already impressive stats against a New York Islanders team that has lost five straight games (0-4-1), failed to score more than two goals in four straight, and ranks 31st in the league offensively (2.36 GF / GP).

Thatcher Demko
Sorokin will start in Vancouver on Wednesday.

Sorokin will start consecutive games for the first time since late October, which is coincidentally the last time the struggling superstar goaltender allowed less than three goals in a contest. Sorokin has allowed three or more goals in four consecutive games (0-2-2), posting a subpar .898 SV% in the process. The Islanders are +128 underdogs on the road against a Vancouver Canucks team that has points in 10 of their last 11 games (9-1-1) and leads the league offensively (4.40 GF / GP).

Ilya Sorokin
Georgiev will start against the Ducks on Wednesday.

Georgiev will start for the Avalanche on Wednesday when they welcome the Anaheim Ducks into town. Georgiev is coming off a solid 18-save effort (.947 SV%) in a 5-1 win over the Seattle Kraken on Monday, his first quality start in over three weeks. Before Monday's contest, Georgiev had an ugly .832 SV% in his previous five games (1-4-0). The Avalanche hope Georgiev's most recent effort is a sign he is getting his game back on track as they are huge -306 home favourites against a Ducks team that played in Nashville last night.

Alexandar Georgiev
Dostal will start in Colorado on Wednesday.

Dostal will be in net for the tail-end of Anaheim's back-to-back after starter John Gibson got the nod in Nashville on Tuesday. It's Dostal's first start since surrendering five goals on 35 shots in a 6-3 defeat to the Flyers last Friday. Dostal owns a 5-2-0 record on the year to go along with his .910 SV% and 3.15 GAA. He draws a difficult assignment on Wednesday with the Ducks being +240 underdogs in Colorado.

Lukas Dostal
Eberle (leg laceration) is expected to play in Edmonton on Wednesday.

Eberle has missed the last three games with a deep cut no his leg he suffered in practice. Eberle skated on the top line with Matty Beniers and Jared McCann at Wednesday's morning skate. Eberle has had a slow start to the season, scoring just one goal and three assists (four points) in 13 games.

Jordan Eberle
Daccord will start Wednesday in Edmonton.

Daccord will take over the Kraken crease for a second-straight game after losing his previous contest 5-1 to Colorado after stopping 26 of 31 shots against (.839 SV%). The 27-year-old veteran will mark a career high in appearances Wednesday as he makes his ninth of the season and is 2-2-3 with a .903 SV% and 2.89 GAA. He takes on the refuelled Edmonton Oilers, who have won two straight and are third in the NHL in shots per game (34.0) but are 24th in the NHL in goals per game (2.79).

Joey Daccord
Eberle (leg) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Axel Jonsson-Fjallby has been recalled from Manitoba (AHL).

Jonsson-Fjallby had three goals, two assists, and a +2 plus/minus in 10 games with Manitoba (AHL) and has been recalled to Winnipeg for the first time this season. The 25-year-old appeared in 50 games in 2022-23 for Winnipeg and had 14 points (6G/8A). He should replace Rasmus Kupari (upper body) who is expected to be out 4-6 weeks.

Axel Jonsson-Fjallby
James Reimer will start Thursday in Sweden vs. Ottawa.

With Ville Husso (personal) not travelling with the Red Wings to their Global Series event, James Reimer will take the crease Thursday as Detroit takes on Ottawa. The 35-year-old veteran netminder will be leaned on heavily by the Red Wings if Husso is out for long, and has a 2-2-1 record, .933 SV%, 1.80 GAA and 1 shutout this season. He takes on the Ottawa Senators, who have won two of their last three games and are third in the NHL in goals per game (3.85) and seventh in shots per game (33.0).

James Reimer
Anthony Duclair (illness) will return to the Sharks' lineup Thursday vs. St. Louis.

Duclair missed the last three games as he recovered from strep throat but is expected to return to the Sharks' lineup Thursday vs. St. Louis. The 28-year-old winger is in his first season with San Jose (7th NHL team) and has three goals, two assists, 24 SOG, 20 PIMs and a -12 plus/minus through 13 games played.

Anthony Duclair
Samuel Girard (undisclosed) is expected to return to the Avalanche lineup Wednesday vs. Anaheim.

Girard missed Colorado's previous game due to an undisclosed injury but is expected to return to the Avalanche lineup Wednesday vs. Anaheim. The 25-year-old defensemen is in his seventh NHL season and has an assist, 13 SOG, and a -8 plus/minus through 13 games played so far this season.

Samuel Girard
Pyotr Kochetkov will start Thursday vs. Philadelphia.

Kochetkov will start his second consecutive game for the Hurricanes as the 24-year-old Russian netminder is reeling after a 22-save, 4-0 shutout victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. Before his strong performance on Saturday, Kochetkov had lost all three appearances (0-3-0), allowing 11 goals on 67 shots (.836 SV%). The Hurricanes will hope to keep things rolling for Kochetkov on Wednesday as they are -248 home favourites against a Philadelphia Flyers team on a two-game winning streak.

Pyotr Kochetkov
Ilya Sorokin is in the starter's crease at Wednesday's morning skate.

Sorokin will likely start consecutive games for the first time since late October, which is coincidentally the last time the struggling superstar goaltender allowed less than three goals in a contest.

Mark Friedman will draw back into the Canucks' lineup Wednesday vs. the New York Islanders.

Friedman was a healthy scratch for the Canucks' previous contest but will draw back into the lineup Wednesday as Carson Soucy (foot) heads to the injured reserve. The 27-year-old defensemen has played solid since being acquired from Pittsburgh in a trade earlier this season, with one assist, six SOG, nine PIMs and a +3 plus/minus in 11 games played. He is expected to pair with Noah Juulsen on Vancouver's third defensive unit Wednesday.

Mark Friedman
Thatcher Demko was the first goalie off the ice at Vancouver's morning skate Wednesday.

Demko appears to be the starter for the Cancuks on Wednesday and will look to build on a tremendous start to the season.

Josh Manson (upper body) is day-to-day and will miss Wednesday vs. Anaheim.

Manson remains day-to-day after missing Colorado's Monday night matchup against the Seattle Kraken and will remain out of the lineup on Wednesday when the team takes on the Anaheim Ducks. The 10-year-veteran is averaging a career-low 15:59 time-on-ice through 13 games, nearly a full two minutes less than any previous season, while tallying one point (0G / 1A), 18 blocks, and 20 hits. The Avalanche has recalled defenceman Sam Malinski and Caleb Jones from the Colorado Eagles of the AHL.
