Tanev (lower-body) is on the ice for warmups and is expected to play against the Avalanche on Monday.

Tanev, who has not played since the season opener on October 10th, looks set to return on Monday against the Colorado Avalanche. Tanev had a career-high 35 points (16G / 19A) in 82 games last season and will likely slot in on the second line with Jared McCann and Alexander Wennberg.

Brandon Tanev
The Ducks placed Zegras (lower-body) on Injured Reserve on Monday.

Duck coach Greg Cronin announced that Zegras has been dealing with a lower-body issue for some time, which could be part of the reason for his sluggish start to the 2023-24 campaign. The talented forward has seen his ice-time drop nearly a full minute since last season and has only scored two points (1G / 1A) in 12 games thus far. The Ducks have not given an expected timeline on Zegras' return.

Trevor Zegras
Pelech (lower-body) is on the ice for warmups for Monday's game in Edmonton and is expected to play.

Pelech has been out of the lineup since November 7th with a lower-body injury but could be an option to return for the Islanders on Monday night. Pelech is averaging 20:22 time-on-ice through 10 games this season, tallying one point (0G / 1A), 22 blocks, and 12 hits.

Adam Pelech
Skinner will start Monday's game against the Islanders.

The Oilers will turn to Skinner again after he helped them snap a four-game losing streak on Saturday, saving 17 of 18 shots in a 4-1 win over the Seattle Kraken. Monday night's contest against the New York Islanders will mark the Oilers' first game with new head coach Kris Knoblauch after Jay Woodcroft was fired on Sunday. The pressure of a new coach and the Islanders' general inability to score (2.46 GF / GP) attribute to the Oilers being listed as -171 home favourites.

Stuart Skinner
Georgiev will start Monday in Seattle.

Georgiev allowed six goals on 28 shots before being relieved by Ivan Prosvetov on Saturday but will likely get a chance to redeem himself as the expected starter for the Avalanche on Monday. Georgiev's play has been horrid lately, allowing four or more goals in five of his last seven contests (3-4-0) and losing four of his last five (1-4-0) while posting a .832 SV%. Working in Georgiev's favour is his strong track record against the Seattle Kraken. In his only contest against the Kraken this season, Georgiev saved 37 of 38 shots (.974 SV%) and posted a 1.64 GAA and .925 SV% in three games against them last season (3-0-0).

Alexandar Georgiev
Sorokin will start Monday in Edmonton.

Sorokin will likely return to the crease on Monday for the Islanders when they visit the Edmonton Oilers. Sorokin is sporting an adequate 3-2-3 record this season, but his play has been a far cry from the Vezina-caliber totals the hockey world has become accustomed to over the last few seasons, posting a 3.24 GAA and .907 SV%. Over the last eight games, the Islanders have opted to rotate starts between Sorokin and Semyon Varlamov. Albeit +150 road underdogs, the Islanders will try to get back on track against an Oilers team that has lost eight of their last 10 (2-7-1).

Ilya Sorokin
Jack Roslovic (fractured ankle) has been placed on the injured reserve and is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks.

Roslovic left the Blue Jackets' previous game vs. the Rangers after 16:17 TOI after blocking a shot and will now miss 4-6 weeks with a fractured ankle. The 26-year-old heads to the injured reserve with two goals, six assists, 29 SOG, six PIMs, and a -6 plus/minus through 14 games prior to his injury. David Jiricek has been recalled in a corresponding roster move.

Jack Roslovic
Daemon Hunt has been recalled as Minnesota's extra roster player in Sweden for the Global Series.

With Minnesota allowed to carry an extra skater as they head to Sweden for their upcoming Global Series Daemon Hunt has been recalled from Iowa (AHL). The 21-year-old is not expected to crack the Wild lineup but if he does he will build off his zero points, and three SOG through five games that he had during his previous call-up.

Daemon Hunt
William Lockwood has been loaned to Charlotte (AHL).

Lockwood has failed to pick up a point through seven games so far in 2023-24 with averaging 7:26 TOI with eight SOG and has been loaned to Charlotte (AHL) Monday. The 25-year-old right-winger returns to the Checkers, where he excelled early in the season with two goals, three points and four PIMs in two games.

William Lockwood
Alexandar Georgiev is the expected starter Monday in Seattle.

Jack Roslovic (undisclosed) has been placed on the injured reserve.

Roslovic played the entire game for the Blue Jackets on Sunday but suffered an undisclosed injury at some point and has since been placed on the injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least one week. Roslovic was off to a strong start this season, tallying eight points (2G / 6A) in 14 games and 29 shots while averaging 16:31 time-on-ice. Kent Johnson, who was sent down to Cleveland (AHL) last week, could be an option to replace Roslovic's offence for the Blue Jackets should they opt to recall him.

Jack Roslovic
Jack Studnicka has been placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Abbotsford (AHL).

Studnicka was placed on unconditional waivers by the Vancouver Canucks with the intention of reassigning him to the Abbotsford Canucks of the AHL. In five games this season, Studnicka has one point (1G / 0A) and a +2 plus/minus rating.

Jack Studnicka
Jordan Eberle (leg) will miss his third-straight game Monday vs. Colorado.

Eberle remains day-to-day and will miss his third-straight game after being cut near a quad muscle by a skate blade at practice last week. The 33-year-old right-winger had been off to a slow start to begin his 2023-24 season as he has one goal, three assists, 28 SOG, nine PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 13 games played. Brandon Tanev will be a game-time decision on Monday and could be an option to slot into Seattle's top six with Eberle out of the lineup.

Jordan Eberle
Brandon Tanev (lower body) was activated from the injured reserve and will be a game-time decision Monday vs. Colorado

Tanev, who has not played since the season opener on October 10th, is a possibility to return on Monday against the Colorado Avalanche. Tanev had a career-high 35 points (16G / 19A) in 82 games last season and would likely slot in on the second line with Jared McCann and Alexander Wennberg.

Brandon Tanev
David Jiricek has been recalled from Cleveland (AHL) is is expected to play Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh.

Adam Boqvist seems to be the odd man out of the Blue Jackets lineup as Jiricek skated alongside Jake Bean at the team's morning skate on Tuesday. Jiricek last played for the Blue Jackets on November 4th, recording one assist and one shot in 12:06 time-on-ice. The 19-year-old Czech defender has three points (1G / 2A) in 10 games with the Blue Jackets this season.

David Jiricek
Andreas Anthanasiou (undisclosed) is expected to be out week-to-week.

Athanasiou played only 8:48 on Thursday after suffering an undisclosed injury that kept him out of the lineup on Sunday, subsequently making him week-to-week going forward. The speedy forward was averaging 12:45 through 11 games this season, tallying four points (0G / 4A) and 20 shots on goal in the process.
