Lafferty is a serviceable fourth-line player who was regularly a healthy scratch for the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2025-26 season. The veteran 31-year-old forward scored two points (1G / 1A) last season in 29 games.


Sacha Boisvert will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday, allowing Lafferty to re-enter the lineup. The 31-year-old Lafferty is averaging 8:30 time-on-ice and has two points (1G / 1A) in 26 games this season.

Lafferty will slot in along with Dominic Toninato for the tail-end of Chicago's back-to-back on Friday. They'll take the places of Louis Crevier and Andrew Mangiapane, who are both unavailable due to undisclosed injuries.

Lafferty will take a seat on Thursday as the Blackhawks opt to dress an extra defenceman. Matt Grzelcyk will dress in his place.

Lafferty has not played since January 30th, but he will make his return on Monday against the Utah Mammoth. The 31-year-old Lafferty has two points (1G / 1A) and is averaging 8:54 time-on-ice through 19 games in primarily a fourth-line role.


Lafferty will draw into the Blackhawks lineup on Friday along with Landon Slaggert. Colton Dach is a healthy scratch and Nick Foligno will also sit out with an undisclosed injury.

Lafferty will make his first appearance since December 28th, as he slots into the lineup in place of Andre Burakovsky (illness). Lafferty has just one goal and one assist in 17 games this season.





With Andre Burakovsky returning to the lineup, Lafferty will be the odd-man out as a healthy scratch. The 30-year-old Lafferty is averaging 9:091 time-on-ice and has one goal in 10 games this season.




Lafferty will take a seat in the press box on Monday alongside Lukas Reichel as Artyom Levshunov and Jason Dickinson draw back in. Lafferty is yet to register a point through two games this season.
