Colorado has signed Taylor Makar to a one-year, entry-level contract starting in 2025-26.

Makar was a seventh-round pick, 220th overall, of the Avalanche in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 24-year-old forward spent the previous four seasons playing collegiate hockey, including scoring 30 points (18G / 12A) in 2024-25 with the University of Maine (H-East).

Vladar is in the starter's crease at Calgary's morning skate.

On the front end of a back-to-back, with the Flames desperately trying to stay within reach of a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, Vladar will likely be tending the twine on Monday against the Colorado Avalanche. The 27-year-old Vladar was serviceable in his most recent outing, saving 26 of 29 shots (.897 SV%) in a 4-3 win over the New York Islanders. He has a 2.90 GAA and .893 SV% in 28 games this season (10-11-6). The Flames enter Monday's contest as sizeable +242 road underdogs against an Avalanche squad that defeated them 4-2 two weeks ago.

Dan Vladar
Vesey is expected to draw back into Colorado's lineup vs. Calgary on Monday.

Miles Wood will be a healthy scratch on Monday against the Calgary Flames, allowing Vesey to re-enter the lineup. Vesey has not played since March 22nd and has yet to score a point in three games with Colorado.

Jimmy Vesey
Middleton is expected to be a healthy scratch vs. Calgary on Monday.

With Erik Johnson (undisclosed) returning to the lineup on Monday against the Calgary Flames, Middleton will head to the sidelines as a healthy scratch. The 27-year-old Middleton is averaging 11:16 time-on-ice and has two points (0G / 2A) in 34 games this season.

Keaton Middleton
Johnson (undisclosed) will return vs. Calgary on Monday.

Johnson has not played since March 22nd due to an undisclosed injury but he will draw back into the lineup on Monday against the Calgary Flames, replacing Keaton Middleton on the blue lin. The 37-year-old Johnson is averaging 15:32 time-on-ice, recording three blocks and eight hits in six games with Colorado.

Erik Johnson

The 20-year-old Snuggerud joined the Blues on Monday and will likely make his NHL debut on Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings.

Jimmy Snuggerud
Tkachuk (lower-body) is targeting the playoffs as a potential return date.

Tkachuk suffered a lower-body injury as a member of USA's team in the 4-Nations Face Off and has not played since the NHL resumed its regular schedule. There has been a lot of uncertainty around the severity of his injury and his potential return, but appears he will likely miss the remainder of the season. The 27-year-old Tkachuk has 57 points (22G / 35A) in 52 games this season.

Matthew Tkachuk
Gustavsson will start in New Jersey on Monday.

After carrying Minnesota to a three-game winning streak with an elite .976 SV%, Gustavsson has lost two of his last three (1-2-0) while posting a more pedestrian .901 SV%. Still, the 26-year-old Gustavsson will return to the crease on Monday against the New Jersey Devils, looking to improve his 2.51 GAA and .916 SV% through 51 games this season (29-17-4). Minnesota enters the action on Monday as +131 road underdogs against a Devils team that defeated them 5-2 on Saturday.

Filip Gustavsson
Wedgewood is expected to start vs. Calgary.

Colorado's four-game winning streak snapped in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues, and they will likely switch to Wedgewood tending the twine on Monday against the Calgary Flames. Wedgewood was solid in a 4-2 win over the Flames on March 14th, saving 22 of 24 shots (.917 SV%). The 32-year-old Wedgewood has a solid 2.02 GAA and .918 SV% in 15 appearances with Colorado this season (10-4-0). Colorado enters Monday's contest as sizeable -273 home favorites against a Flames club with points in five of their last six games (4-1-1).

Scott Wedgewood

Ristolainen has not suited up since March 11th due to an upper-body injury, was announced out week-to-week on Thursday, and will not likely miss the remainder of the season. It is a huge loss on the back end for the Flyers, as the 30-year-old had been coming around as of late with four points in his last nine games played. Ristolainen likely puts a bow on the 2024-25 regular season with four goals, 19 points and a +3 plus/minus in 63 games played.

Rasmus Ristolainen
Fedotov will start vs. Nashville on Monday.

The Flyers have outscored their opposition 13-8 during a two-game winning streak and will turn Fedotov between the pipes on Monday against the Nashville Predators. The 28-year-old Fedotov had a forgetful night in his most recent outing, allowing seven goals on 29 shots (.759 SV%) in a 7-4 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. He has a 3.21 GAA and .877 SV% in 24 appearances this season (5-13-3). The Flyers enter Monday's contest as -119 home favorites against a Predators squad that has lost two straight (0-2-0) and will be without Jonathan Marchessault (lower body).

Ivan Fedotov
McAvoy (shoulder) is practicing on Monday in a regular practice jersey.

McAvoy has not played since suffering an injury at the 4Nations Face-Off, but was skating in a non-contact jersey since last week, and has upgraded to a full-contact practice on Monday. The 27-year-old had seven goals, 23 points, 98 SOG and 46 PIMs in 50 games to start the season. The Bruins have eight games remaining this season and it's unclear when McAvoy could return to the lineup.
