Benson was not a participant at practice on Friday as he recovers from a lower-body injury and will be out Saturday vs. the New York Islanders. The 18-year-old rookie has two points (0G / 2A) in four NHL games this season, averaging 14:03 time-on-ice. Since he cannot play Saturday, Benson will likely be replaced by Victor Olofsson, who is coming off consecutive healthy scratches.

The 28-year-old was 9-9-1 with an .886 SV% and a 3.67 GAA in 19 games started in 2022-23. He takes on the New York Islanders, who have gotten points in all three of their matchups (2-0-1) and are 22nd in the NHL in goals per game (2.67).

Patrick Laine (upper body) will be out Saturday after not travelling with the team to Minneapolis.
Laine took a late elbow to the head from Calgary's Rasmus Andersson in their 3-1 win Friday and will not travel with the team as they go to Minnesota on Saturday. The 25-year-old has had his career decimated by injuries as he not played more than 68 games in a season since 2018-19. Laine is considered day-to-day but will be continued to be evaluated.

Bobrovsky stopped 29 of 30 shots against (.967 SV%) for his second-straight victory as he topped the Toronto Maple Leafs in his last start. The 35-year-old netminder has taken control of the Panthers' crease yet again with his 2-2-0 record, .908 SV% and 2.81 GAA so far this season. He takes on the Vancouver Canucks, who have dropped their last two contests but rank sixth in the NHL in goals for per game (3.75).
Joel Armia has been recalled from the Laval Rockets (AHL).
Cole Guttman has been reassigned to Rockford (AHL).
