Smith has six goals, six assists, 76 SOG, 18 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus through 56 games with both Washington and Boston this season but is now considered day-to-day as he deals with a lower-body injury. The 33-year-old left the Capitals' previous game vs. Pittsburgh after just 4:54 TOI.

Grubauer stopped 14 of 16 shots (.875 SV%) for his second win in three starts as he easily handled the Nashville Predators in his previous time between the pipes. The 31-year-old veteran netminder has had an up-and-down season yet again in Seattle, with his 14-12-4 record, 2.99 GAA and .892 SV%. He will take on the Minnesota Wild, who have won three of their last four games after a 3-1 win over Chicago last game.

Allen will start Monday in Buffalo.

Allen allowed four goals on 21 shots (.810 SV%) for his seventh-straight loss as he was defeated by the Boston Bruins in his previous start. He will face Buffalo, who has won their last two games after a four-game losing streak and are third in the NHL in goals per game (3.57).

Jeff Carter will be a game-time decision Tuesday after missing team practice Monday (personal).

Carter missed the Penguins' skate Monday due to personal reasons and will now be a game-time decision Tuesday as the team takes on the Detroit Red Wings. The 38-year-old veteran has 11 goals, 15 assists, 121 SOG, 28 PIMs and a -17 plus/minus through 70 games this season.

Robby Fabbri is expected to miss the remained of the 2022-23 season with a lower-body injury.

Fabbri has not played since March 8th due to a lower-body injury and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season. It is yet another season cut short by injuries for the 27-year-old, who had seven goals, nine assists, 35 SOG, 22 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 28 games played prior to the injury.

Husso has not played since March. 20th due to a lower-body injury and will be out indefinitely with the expectation that he may miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season. The 28-year-old has steadily watched his numbers plummet these last few weeks which has led to a fairly ugly final season line of 25-19-6, with a 3.01 GAA and .899 SV%.

Bobrovsky will start Monday in Ottawa.

Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 42 shots (.905 SV%) for his second-straight loss as he was beaten by the New York Rangers in his previous start. The 34-year-old has had a season of ups and downs, with his 24-19-3 record, 3.05 GAA and .902 SV%. He takes on the Ottawa Senators, who have lost seven of their last nine games but are seventh in the NHL in shots on goal (33.2).

Gudbranson left the Blue Jackets' previous game after 16:21 TOI due to a separated shoulder and is now expected to miss the next six weeks as he recovers. The 31-year-old will put a cap on his 2022-23 season, where he had a goal, 12 assists, 102 SOG, 57 PIMs and a -24 plus/minus through 70 games prior to his injury.

The Sabres' are attempting to reach their highest win total since 2011-12 (39) and will hope to have their leading scorer who has 44 goals, 45 assists, 269 SOG, 35 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 72 games this season.

Jakob Chychrun will be out for 2-3 weeks as he deals with a hamstring injury.

Chychrun has nine goals, 24 assists, 144 SOG, 30 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus through 48 games this season but will now be forced to miss 2-3 weeks as he deals with a hamstring injury. The 24-year-old had played in 12 games (2G/3A) since joining the Senators' nearly a month ago.
