DeAngelo was handed 15 PIMs for spearing Corey Perry in the Flyers' game Tuesday night and has now been suspended for two games for the infraction. The 27-year-old defenseman has 10 goals, 24 assists, 144 SOG, 67 PIMs and a -28 plus/minus through 59 games this season.

Talbot was a late scratch for the Senators' game Monday night and is now expected to miss three weeks due to a "mid-body" injury. The 35-year-old veteran netminder has struggled at times in his first season in Ottawa, as he has a 15-14-1 record, 2.85 GAA and .905 SV%.

Demko stopped 36 of 37 shots (.973 SV%) for his second win in three games since returning from injury as he beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in his previous start. The 27-year-old has struggled in an injury-riddled campaign, posting a 5-11-2 record, 3.66 GAA, and .893 SV%. He takes on the Anaheim Ducks, who have won four of their last six games but are 31st in the NHL in goals per game (2.51).

Spence had four goals, 37 assists, 30 PIMs and a -14 plus/minus through 50 games played with Ontario (AHL) and has been recalled to Los Angeles for the second time this season. The 22-year-old has 27 career NHL games played, with two goals and eight points.

Mitchell has missed the Blackhawks' previous three games due to a hamstring injury but will draw back into Chicago's lineup Wednesday. The 24-year-old has a goal, four assists, 20 SOG, and a -11 plus/minus through 24 games played prior to the injury.

Stalock was perfect in his previous start, stopping all 35 of 35 Ottawa Senator shots for his second shutout of the season as he blanked the Senators in his last start. The 35-year-old has been one of the league's best comeback stories this season, with his 7-7-1 record, 2.60 GAA and.921 SV%. He takes on the struggling Detroit Red Wings, who are looking to snap an untimely six-game losing streak after a 3-1 loss to Philadelphia last game.

Englund has three assists, 30 PIMs and 26 SOG through 41 games with both Colorado and Chicago but will be a healthy scratch Wednesday as they take on the Detroit Red Wings. Ian Mitchell's return from injury (hamstring) is the reason for the 27-year-old heading to the press box.

Dubois returned for the first time in three games in Winnipeg's last contest but will be a game-time decision Wednesday vs. Minnesota as he deals with a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old has 24 goals, 31 assists, 169 SOG, and 71 PIMs through 61 games played prior to the injury.

Samberg has two goals, six assists, 41 SOG, 12 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 49 games so far this season but will be a healthy scratch Wednesday vs. Minnesota. Samberg will be replaced by Logan Stanley in the Jets' lineup.

Stanley has been a healthy scratch for the Jets' previous two games but is expected to draw back into the lineup Wednesday as they take on Minnesota. The 24-year-old towering defensemen has an assist, eight SOG and 19 PIMS across 14 games this season.

Carlson has not played since December 23rd and does not have a timetable for his return. Getting back on the ice on Wednesday was the next step for the 33-year-old, who may not play again this season. Depending on where the Capitals are situated in the playoff race, will likely determine whether or not Carlson suits up again.

Hellebuyck stopped 30 of 35 shots (.857 SV%) for snap a two-game losing skid as he beat Edmonton in his previous start. The 29-year-old has struggled as of late but still is putting together an impressive campaign, with his 27-19-2 record, 2.62 GAA and .919 SV%. He takes on the red-hot Minnesota Wild, who have earned at least a point in 10 straight games and just snapped a four-game winning streak with a 1-0 shootout loss to Calgary last night.

McIlrath had an assist, a SOG, seven PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through six games with the Capitals but has been returned to Hershey (AHL) Wednesday. The 30-year-old returns to the minors where he had 10 assists, and 83 PIMs across 44 games played.

The contract will be two-way in the first season and one-way in the second season. Brisebois has split his 2023 season between the AHL and NHL, picking up one assist in nine games with Vancouver. During his time in the AHL, the 25-year-old has six points (1G / 5A) in 36 games.
