Grubauer stopped 16 of 17 shots (.941 SV%) in a rare relief win as he beat the Detroit Red Wings last night. The 31-year-old has been steadily improving his rough early season numbers, with his now 9-11-3 record, 3.05 GAA and .894 SV%. He will face the Columbus Blue Jackets, who have won two of their last three games but are 30th in the NHL in scoring (2.59).
The Red Wings have signed Alex Chiasson to a one-year, one-way contract worth $750K.
Chiasson had nine goals, 20 points, 14 PIMs, and a +6 plus/minus through 29 games this season with Grand Rapids (AHL) and has signed a one-year, one-way contract worth $750,000. He played 67 games for the Vancouver Canucks in 2021-22, scoring 13 goals and 22 points.
The Predators have signed Kevin Lankinen to a one-year, $2.0M contract.
Lankinen is 13-7-5 with a .922 SV% and 2.58 GAA in his first season as Nashville's backup goalie and has signed a one-year, $2.0 million contract extension. The 27-year-old is in his third NHL season.
The Red Wings have recalled Alex Nedeljkovic from Grand Rapids (AHL) under emergency conditions.
Nedeljkovic was 9-7-2 with a .909 SV% and a 2.89 GAA with the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL) and has been recalled under emergency conditions to the Red Wings. He previously played nine games with Detroit this season, posting a 2-4-2 record, .880 SV% and 2.89 GAA.
