Meier will have to wait to make his New Jersey debut after head coach Lindy Ruff announced it was unlikely he would join the lineup Wednesday. The 26-year-old had 31 goals, 52 points and 255 SOG through 57 games with the Sharks prior to being traded.



Barrie had 10 goals, 33 assists, 115 SOG, 26 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 61 games with the Edmonton Oilers and has been traded to Nashville alongside Reid Schaefer, a 2023 first-round pick and a fourth-round pick from the Oilers for Mattias Ekholm and a sixth-round pick.

Ekholm had five goals, 13 assists, 99 SOG, and 24 PIMs across 57 games played with the Nashville Predators and has been acquired alongside a sixth-round pick from the Predators for Tyson Barrie, Reid Schaefer, a 2023 first-round pick and a fourth-round pick.







Husso allowed two goals on 17 shots (.882 SV%) to snap a two-game winning streak as he lost to Tampa in his last start. The 28-year-old has been great in his first season in Detroit, with his 23-14-5 record, 2.83 GAA and a ,907 SV%. He takes on the Ottawa Senators, who just beat Detroit 6-2 last game.
