Joshua (illness) returned to practice on Monday.

Joshua did not play in Toronto's most recent game due to an illness, but was back at practice on Monday, and should be ready to suit up on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 29-year-old Joshua is averaging 12:26 time-on-ice, recording 99 hits and nine points (5G / 4A) in 29 games this season.

Hofer is in the starter's crease at St. Louis' morning skate.

Hofer was solid in his most recent game, saving 27 of 29 shots (.931 SV%) in a 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks, and will likely return to the crease on Monday against the Nashville Predators. The Blues have struggled between the pipes this season, but Hofer has been slightly more reliable than Jordan Binnington and has seen an uptick in deployment over the past few weeks as a result. The 25-year-old Hofer has a 3.10 GAA and .893 SV% in 17 appearances this season (5-6-2). The Blues enter the action on Monday as slight -106 home favorites against a Predators team that handily defeated them 7-2 less than a week ago.

Sabourin is expected to draw back into Tampa Bay's lineup vs. Florida on Monday.

Gage Goncalves and Dominic James will serve as healthy scratches on Monday against the Florida Panthers, allowing Curtis Douglas and Scott Sabourin to re-enter the lineup. The 33-year-old Sabourin is averaging 9:15 time-on-ice and has three points (1G / 2A) in six games this season.

Scott Sabourin
Douglas will draw back into Tampa Bay's lineup vs. Florida on Monday.

Gage Goncalves and Dominic James will serve as healthy scratches on Monday against the Florida Panthers, allowing Curtis Douglas and Scott Sabourin to re-enter the lineup. The 25-year-old Douglas, in his first NHL season, is averaging 5:53 time-on-ice and has two assists in 24 games.

Curtis Douglas
Vasilevskiy (undisclosed) will not return on Monday and is hopeful to return before Christmas.

Vaslievskiy was originally expected to return early this season, but his timeline has seemingly been pushed back slightly. The 31-year-old Vasilevskiy has not played since December 2nd, but his team has managed to tread water without him, going 2-3-1 in six games. Before his injury, Vasilevskiy was having a season worthy of Vezina consideration, posting a 2.31 GAA and .916 SV% in 19 games (11-6-2).

Andrei Vasilevskiy
Johansson will start vs. Florida on Monday.

Andrei Vasilevskiy (undisclosed) was back at practice on Monday, seemingly nearing a return from injury, but Johansson will continue his reign of the Lightning crease during his absence. The 30-year-old Johansson has been reliable while starting six straight (2-3-1), posting a solid 2.25 GAA and .916 SV%. He has a 2.59 GAA and .904 SV% in 14 appearances (7-5-1) and is playing well above his career-average 3.30 GAA and .890 SV% from 80 games (32-26-12) heading into the season. Tampa Bay enters Monday's contest as -132 home favorites against a Florida Panthers team coming off a dominant 4-0 win over the Dallas Stars.

Jonas Johansson
James is expected to be a healthy scratch vs. Florida on Monday.

With Curtis Douglas and Scott Sabourin drawing into the lineup on Monday against the Florida Panthers, Gage Goncalves and Dominic James will head to the sidelines as healthy scratches. The 23-year-old James, a first-year NHLer, is averaging 12:11 time-on-ice and has five points (2G / 3A) in 20 games this season.

Dominic James
Goncalves is expected to be a healthy scratch vs. Florida on Monday.

With Curtis Douglas and Scott Sabourin drawing into the lineup on Monday against the Florida Panthers, Gage Goncalves and Dominic James will head to the sidelines as healthy scratches. The 24-year-old Goncalves is averaging 11:53 time-on-ice and has seven points (2G / 5A) in 29 games this season.

Gage Goncalves
Shesterkin was the first goalie off the ice at New York's morning skate.

Shesterkin has played well over the past month, but is coming off of one of his worst outings of the season, salvaging a 5-4 overtime victory over the Montreal Canadiens despite allowing four goals on 17 shots (.765 SV%). The 29-year-old Shesterkin has a 2.53 GAA and .909 SV% in 26 games this season (13-10-3). The Rangers enter the action on Monday as -122 home favorites against an Anaheim Ducks team that has been outscored 9-3 during a two-game losing skid.

Igor Shesterkin
Lilleberg (undisclosed) has been placed on IR.

Lileberg was limited to 13:30 time-on-ice in Tampa Bay's 3-2 shootout loss to the New York Islanders on Saturday, and has been placed on Injured Reserve. The 24-year-old defenseman will be sidelined for, at minimum, one week before he is eligible to return. He has six points (2G / 4A) in 32 games this season.

Emil Lilleberg
Maccelli missed Monday's practice due to illness.

Maccelli did not practice on Monday due to illness, and it is unclear whether he will be ready to suit up when Toronto returns to action tomorrow against the Chicago Blackhawks. That said, Maccelli has been a healthy scratch for the previous two weeks and was probably not being rushed back into the lineup with the team playing above .500 during that stretch.

Matias Maccelli
Hellebuyck will start vs. Ottawa on Monday.

The Jets went 3-8-1 in 12 games with Hellebuyck sidelined due to a knee injury, but they were seemingly a new team when he returned to the lineup on Saturday. The 32-year-old Hellebuyck was excellent in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Washington Capitals, saving 24 of 25 shots (.960 SV%). Before his injury, Hellebuyck was in the running to be a candidate for another Vezina trophy, but he may have fallen out of the race after missing a full month. He has a 2.41 GAA and .916 SV% in 15 games (9-6-0). The Jets enter Monday's contest as -129 home favorites against an Ottawa Senators team that has lost four of its last five games (1-4-0).

Connor Hellebuyck
Bedard (upper-body) has been placed on IR and will be re-evaluated in the New Year.

Bedard did not play in Chicago's most recent game and was placed on Injured Reserve. The severity of his injury remains unclear but he is expected to be re-evaluated in the New Year and is not expected to need surgery. The 20-year-old Bedard has been having a breakout season with 44 points (19G / 25A) in 31 games and will be eager to return to the lineup as soon as possible as he continues to make his case for the Canadian team at the Olympics.

Connor Bedard
Reichel has cleared waivers and been assigned to Abottsford (AHL).

Vancouver acquired Lukas Reichel from Chicago for a 2027 4th round pick earlier this season, but his tenure with the Canucks organization is seemingly already nearing an end. Reichel cleared waivers and will report to the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL) while the team will reportedly attempt to facilitate a trade. The 23-year-old Reichel recorded one assist in 14 games with Vancouver.

Lukas Reichel
Brossoit has been recalled from Rockford (AHL) after finishing his conditioning stint.

Brossoit underwent hip surgery in the offseason and is progressing toward returning to NHL action, following a conditioning stint in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs, where he posted a 3.39 GAA and .900 S% in three games (2-1-0). The 32-year-old Brossoit has battled injuries in recent years, not playing since the 2023-24 season, but has been an effective netminder when healthy, posting a 2.64 GAA and .911 SV% in 140 career appearances (64-46-13).

Laurent Brossoit
