NHL Hockey Player News

Thomas (lower-body) will not play Monday in Winnipeg.

Thomas was on the ice briefly this morning but will not play Monday in Winnipeg. This is the second straight game that Thomas has missed, so look for Brayden Schenn to remain on the top line. Monitor Thomas' status coming out of the All Star break, the Blues don't play again until next Saturday.

Robert Thomas
Talbot (lower-body) will not be ready right after the All-Star break.

Talbot has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury and is expected to miss more time. He won't be available for Tuesday's game in Montreal and won't be ready when the Senators return from the All-Star break next Saturday vs. the Oilers. The Senators will continue to roll with Anton Forsberg between the pipes while Talbot is sidelined.

Cam Talbot
Thompson is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Thompson was not on the ice for Monday's practice and is considered day-to-day. This leaves Thompson's status for Wednesday's game vs. Carolina in question. It's unclear when Thompson suffered the injury, as he finished Saturday's game in Minnesota with 20:58 TOI.

Tage Thompson
Capobianco will draw into the Jets lineup on Monday.

Capobianco has not played since January 3rd, but he will replace Logan Stanley on the Jets' blueline on Monday. Capobianco has appeared in just eight NHL games this season, scoring one goal on four shots, with four PIMS and a plus-1 rating.

Kyle Capobianco
Binnington was the first goalie off the ice at the Blues' morning skate.

Binnington allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Blues' loss in Colorado on Saturday. Binnington did all he could to keep the Blues in it, but lost his third straight, allowing 11 goals on 67 shots (.836 SV%) in the process. Tonight he faces a Jets team that is 13th in the NHL in goals (3.18 GF/gm) as a massive +199 underdog, making him a risky fantasy option.

Jordan Binnington
Hellebuyck will start Monday vs. the Blues.

Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Jets' loss to the Flyers on Saturday. Hellebuyck has lost three in a row and five of his last six starts (1-5-0) while posting a .909 SV%. Tonight he will face the Blues, who are on a four-game losing streak and rank 22nd in the NHL in goals per game (3.02). The Jets are massive -225 favourites, so Hellebuyck makes a great start to start the week.
