DeSmith will start Monday vs. the Ducks.

DeSmith allowed two goals on 36 shots (.944 SV%) but still took the loss in his previous start as he was downed by the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1. DeSmith has not been his usual sturdy self in the Penguins' crease this season, as he's posted a 5-9-2 record, 3.10 GAA and .907 SV%. He will hope for some better fortunes as he takes on Anaheim, who is last in the NHL in goals per game (2.26).

Merzlikins will start Monday vs. the Rangers.

Merzlikins stopped 25 of 28 shots (.892 SV%) to snap a four-game losing streak as he defeated Detroit in his previous start. The 28-year-old has been one of the league's worst netminders this season, as shown by his 4.52 GAA, .867 SV% and 5-11-0 record. He will face the New York Rangers, who just lost 2-1 to Montreal on Sunday but are eighth in the NHL in shots per game (32.9).

Elvis Merzlikins
Hart will start Monday afternoon in Boston.

Hart stopped 39 of 40 shots (.975 SV%) for his second straight victory over the Washington Capitals as he defeated them 3-1 in his last game. It has been an up-and-down season for the 24-year-old star netminder, who is 13-12-6 with a 2.91 GAA and .910 SV%. He will take on the league-leading Boston Bruins, who have won four of their last five games and are second in the NHL in goals (3.76).

The Panthers recalled Grigori Denisenko from Charlotte (AHL).

Denisenko appeared in six games with the Panthers earlier in the season, picking up just one assist. The 22-year-old has recorded 18 points (8G / 10A) in 32 AHL games this season. It's unclear if he will draw into the lineup on Monday or if he'll serve as an extra forward.

Grigori Denisenko
Bobrovsky will start Monday afternoon in Buffalo.

Bobrovsky stopped 35 of 38 shots (.921 SV%) for his third win in four games as he beat Vancouver in his previous start. Bobrovsky has been better as of late, which has helped improve on a horrific season start, amounting to an 11-13-1 record, 3.27 GAA and .896 SV%. He will take on the Buffalo Sabres, who just snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over Nashville last contest and are 1st in the league in goals per game (3.85).

Sergei Bobrovsky
The Hurricanes have reassigned Pyotr Kocetkov to Chicago (AHL).

The Hurricanes were carrying three goalies since Frederik Andersen returned but have demoted Kochetkov to the AHL and will carry Andersen and Antti Raanta moving forward. Kochetkov started off great, going 10-1-4 with a .928 SV% and three shutouts in his first 15 games. However, he was 0-3-1 with a .861 SV% in his last four games. Before getting called up, Kochetkov was 2-2-1 with a .911 SV% in the AHL.

Pyotr Kochetkov
Sorokin will start Monday vs. the Capitals.

Sorokin stopped 22 of 23 shots (.957 SV%) to snap a three-game losing streak as he beat Montreal in his previous start. The 27-year-old is having arguably his best season to date, with his incredible .927 SV%, 2.25 GAA and 15-14-2 record. He will take on the Washington Capitals, who have lost three of their last four contest after a 3-1 defeat to Philadelphia last time out.

Ilya Sorokin
The Wild have signed Matt Boldy to a seven-year contract extension worth $7.0M AAV.

Boldy was selected No.12 overall in 2019 and has picked up 68 points (27G / 41A) in his first 89 career NHL games with the Wild. Boldy was set to become an RFA at the end of the season but is now signed through the 2029-30 season.

Matt Boldy
The Sabres reassigned Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to Rochester (AHL).

Buffalo continues to shuffle their lineup around so that they can carry three goalies, this is once again nothing more than a paper transaction. Luukkonen should remain with the team and could start Tuesday in Chicago. Look for Craig Anderson to start Monday vs. the Panthers.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
The Sabres recalled Peyton Krebs from Rochester (AHL).

The Sabres' roster shuffle continues as they try to carry three goalies, so Krebs comes back up and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen goes to the AHL to make room. Krebs will likely draw into the lineup and return to his usual role on the fourth line. Krebs has picked up three goals and six assists (nine points) in 34 games this season.

Peyton Krebs
Bernard-Docker was recalled from the AHL and is expected to be in the lineup on Monday.

Bernard-Docker has split his 2022-23 season between the AHL and NHL, picking up just one assist in nine NHL games so far. With Artem Zub out with a lower-body injury, Bernard-Docker is expected to skate next to Thomas Chabot on the top pair in St. Louis on Monday.
