Nikita Zaitsev is considered week-to-week as he will be out "the next little bit" due to an injury (undisclosed).

Zaitsev left the Senators' last game vs. Boston after just 7:16 TOI due to an undisclosed injury and will be out for the "next little bit" according to head coach DJ Smith. The 31-year-old stay-at-home defender had three assists, six SOG and a -6 plus/minus in 19 games prior to the injury.

Nikita Zaitsev
Jacob Bernard-Docker will return to the Senators' lineup Thursday (ankle).

Jacob Bernard-Docker

Barkov has six goals, 16 assists, 82 SOG and a +5 plus/minus through 25 games played and is expected to return Thursday vs. Montreal. Barkov missed 15 games last season due to injury and will be hoping this is the last of his injuries this season after multiple trips so far to the shelf.

Aleksander Barkov
Bobrovsky will start Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

He will face the Montreal Canadiens, who have lost six of their last seven games after a 4-1 loss to Tampa in their last game.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Aaron Ekblad has been cleared and will play Thursday vs. the Canadiens (upper-body).

Ekblad was considered day-to-day with an upper-body injury but it seems will not miss any time as he is expected to be in the Panthers' lineup Thursday vs. Montreal. The 26-year-old has had another injury-riddled season, but still managed to put up four goals, 10 assists and 72 SOG through 24 games played

Aaron Ekblad
Radko Gudas has been cleared and will play Thursday vs. Montreal (concussion).

Radko Gudas
Ersson will start Thursday in San Jose.

Ersson was shelled for five goals on 30 shots (.833 SV%) in the only start of his career, a loss to Carolina his last time out. The 23-year-old will be hoping for better fortunes in his second start of the year as he replaces Carter Hart (concussion) for the time being. He will be looking to pick up his first career win as he takes on the San Jose Sharks, who have lost four of their last five games after a 6-2 loss to Vancouver in their last game.

Samuel Ersson
Grubauer will start Wednesday vs. the Flames.

Grubauer stopped 15 of 17 shots (.882 SV%) to snap a four-game losing streak as he beat the Winnipeg Jets in his last start. The 31-year-old has struggled yet again this season after a horrendous 2021-22, with his current 3-5-1 record, 3.30 GAA and .882 SV%. He will take on Calgary, who is coming off a 2-1 loss Tuesday to Edmonton and is fifth in the NHL in shots on goal per game (34.7).

Philipp Grubauer
Vanecek led the Devils onto the ice for warmups.

Vanecek stopped all five of five Bruins' shots as he was perfect in relief of Mackenzie Blackwood against Boston in his last time between the pipes. The 26-year-old has played well in his first season in New Jersey, with his 12-4-2 record, 2.41 GAA and .909 SV%. Vitek Vanecek
Casey DeSmith will start Wednesday vs. Detroit.
