The Coyotes have acquired Curtis Douglas from the Maple Leafs for Conor Timmins.

Douglas is best known for his massive 6'9" frame and will head to Arizona with hopes of making the Coyotes' roster at some point this season. In 13 games with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) he had one assist and 30 PIMs with a -2 rating. He was dealt for defensemen Conor Timmins Wednesday.

The Maple Leafs have acquired Conor Timmins from the Coyotes for Curtis Douglas.

Timmins heads to the injured Maple Leads after putting up three assists and 12 PIMs in six games with the Tucson Roadrunners in Arizona's farm system. The 24-year-old was traded for Curtis Douglas and will hope to add to his 41 career NHL games he has amassed over four injured riddled seasons.

The Red Wings have claimed Magnus Hellberg off of waivers from the Kraken.

Detroit will be Hellbergs third NHL team this season after playing one game between both Ottawa and Seattle where he won after stopping 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%). The 31-year-old veteran has six career NHL games and has won three of them.

Logan Thompson was the first goalie off the ice for Vegas Wednesday.

Thompson allowed four goals on 29 shots (.862 SV%) in a win over Vancouver his last time out. The rookie goaltender has been sensationally this season posting a 10-3-0 record with two shutouts and a .920 SV%. He takes on the struggling Ottawa Senators who have lost 10 of their last 12 games.

Martin Jones is the first goalie off the ice at the Sharks' morning skate.

Jones stopped 27 of 29 shots (.931 SV%) in a victory over the Los Angeles Kings his last time out. He has had a very strong start to his Seattle tenure, posting a 9-4-2 record with a .913 SV% and 2.30 GAA. He faces off against the San Jose Sharks who rank bottom ten in both shots per game and goals per game in the NHL.

John Gibson was the first goalie off the ice at Anaheims' morning skate.

Gibson lost his previous two starts to the St.Louis Blues and is in the middle of a three game losing streak that has added to his NHL lead in losses as he holds a 3-11-1 record. He has struggled as shown by his 4.15 GAA and .891 SV% through 15 games played. He will hope to get back in the win column as he takes on the New York Rangers who has won three of their last four games.

Kaapo Kahkonen will start Wednesday vs. Seattle.

Kahkonen was incredible in his previous start stopping 37 of 38 shots (.974 SV%) in a win over Ottawa. He is filling in for an injured James Reimer but has struggled this season with his 2-4-1 record, 3.31 GAA and .894 SV%. He takes on the Seattle Kraken who have won their last two contests 3-2 in overtime after beating the Kings their last time out.

Petr Mrazek was the first goalie off the ice at Chicago's morning skate.

Mrazek had his worst start of the season his last time out, allowing six goals on 43 shots (.860 SV%) in a loss to the league leaders in Boston. The 30-year-old veteran has been struggling since joining the Blackhawks, posting a 1-3-1 record with a 3.66 GAA and .889 SV%. He draws the tough task of the Dallas Stars who are second in the NHL with 3.84 goals for per game.

Dysin Mayo will draw back into Arizona's lineup Wednesday vs. Carolina.

Mayo was a healthy scratch in the Coyotes' previous game but will return to the lineup Wednesday vs. Carolina. The 26-year-old has struggled this season as he has yet to pick up a point and is a -7 plus/minus through 12 games.

Zack Kassian will return to the Arizona lineup Wednesday vs. Carolina (lower-body).

Kassian has not played since October 30th due to a lower-body injury but will return earlier than expected Wednesday vs. Carolina. In eight games prior to the injury, the 31-year-old veteran has one goal and a -5 plus minus along with 13 PIMs.

Oskar Olausson will make his NHL debut Wednesday vs. Vancouver.

The Avalanche's 2021 1st-round pick (28th overall) has been called up by Colorado for the first time in his career and will make his debut Wednesday on the Avalanche's second line. The 20-year-old had been enjoying a strong first AHL season with the Eagles prior to his promotion, scoring four goals and eight points with four PIMs across 16 games played.

Dylan Guenther is back in the Coyotes' lineup Wednesday vs. Carolina.

Guenther was a healthy scratch for the Coyotes' previous game but will draw back into the lineup Wednesday. The 19-year-old rookie has been having a strong start offensive start to his season with three goals and four assists but struggled defensively with a -9 plus/minus through 15 games played.

Lassi Thomson was called up Tuesday from the Belleville Senators (AHL).

The 2019 1st round pick (19th overall) was recalled for the first time this season after putting up three goals and seven assists along with eight PIMs through 15 games with Belleville (AHL). In 16 career NHL games prior the season, he has five assists through 16 GP.

Francouz was great for a second straight performance his last time out, stopping 46 of 48 shots (.958 SV%) as he stole a victory over Carolina. The Avalanche's backup has been solid in limited action this season, posting a 2-3-0 record along with a .925 SV% and 2.42 GAA. He faces off against the struggle Vancouver Canucks who rank 23rd in the NHL in shots per game (30.2) but sixth in goals per game (3.47).

Maccelli heading to the press box Wednesday comes as a bit of a surprise as the rookie had been enjoying a strong season, leading all rookie skaters with 11 points (1G/10A) through 17 games played. He will be replaced by Dylan Guenther and Zack Kassian returning to the lineup.

Vejmelka allowed four goals on 39 shots (.897 SV%) in a loss vs. Vegas his last time out. The second year starter has been solid on a weak Arizona team this season as shown by his 5-5-1 record and .909 SV%. He will face the Carolina Hurricanes who rank fourth in the NHL in shots per game (35.2) but 25th in goals (2.84).
