Ville Heinola will make his season debut Monday vs. Carolina.

Heinola will get his first taste of NHL action in 2022-23 after being recalled from Manitoba of the AHL. He had been enjoying a fairly strong early campaign, with seven assists and a +12 plus/minus rating across only 11 games played. The 2019 first-round pick (20th overall) has played in 25 career NHL games with one goal and 10 points prior to this season.

Hart will start Monday vs. the Flames.

Hart enters Monday in the middle of a five-game losing skid after losing his previous start to Montreal in overtime after allowing five goals on 33 shots (.848 SV%). The 24-year-old has still been very solid this season shown by his posting a .919 SV%, 2.64 GAA and 6-3-4 record. He faces the Calgary Flames who have won three of their last four games after a 5-4 win over Florida their last time out.

Vasilevskiy was the first goalie off of the ice at the Lightning morning skate.

Vasilevskiy finds himself on a three-game winning streak after defeating Nashville his last time out on the back of a 30 save on 32 shot (.938 SV%) performance. The NHL leader in wins the last five seasons has struggled so far in 2022-23, posting a 7-5-1 record with a .909 SV% and 2.84 GAA. He draws the tough task of taking on the league-leading Boston Bruins who carry a 16-2-0 record into the game Monday and find themselves on a six-game winning streak.

Tanner Lacynski has been recalled from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL).

Lacynski has been playing great for Lehigh Valley (AHL) since being sent down previously scoring a goal and two assists across three games played for Philadelphia's minor league team. Lacynski has picked up two assists in 12 games with Philadelphia prior to his demotion while playing bottom-six minutes.

Vanecek picked up his eighth straight win in his last start out, stopping 25 of 27 shots (.926 SV%) vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 26-year-old is enjoying a great first season in New Jersey, posting an 8-1-0 record with a .916 SV% and 2.15 GAA. He's taking on the Edmonton Oilers who beat Vegas 4-3 in overtime their last time out and rank 2nd in the NHL with a 31.7 powerplay percentage on the season.

Rittich is in the starter's crease at the Jets morning skate.

Riittich last started on Nov.13th where he won against Seattle after stopping 19 of 21 shots (.905 SV%). The Jets' backup goaltender has struggled despite his 2-1-0 record this season, posting a .890 SV% and 2.73 GAA. He takes on the Carolina Hurricanes' who rank fourth in the NHL in shots per game (35.7) but 24th in goals per game (2.83).

Kallgren is in the starter's crease at the Maple Leafs morning skate.

Kallgren stopped 27 of 29 shots (.931SV%) picking up a win his last time out nine days ago vs. Vancouver. The Maple Leafs now backup goaltender has struggled this season, posting a .893 SV%, 2.86 GAA and 2-2-3 record. He takes on the New York Islanders who have lost their last two games after dropping their previous content 5-2 to Dallas.

Schmaltz (ribs) is expected to return to the Coyotes lineup on Monday.

Schmaltz has been out since the Coyotes' season opener, playing just 2:26 TOI in that game before suffering a rib injury. Schmaltz should return on a line with Clayton Keller and PP1. He had 59 points (23G / 36A) in 63 games last season.

Chychrun (wrist) is expected to make his season debut on Monday.

Chychrun is coming off wrist surgery in the offseason and missed the first 16 games of the season. Despite wanting to be traded out of Arizona, Chychrun is expected to suit up Monday vs. the Predators. It's unclear how many minutes he will play in his season debut but he figures to serve a role on the power-play and is coming off of 21 points (7G / 14A) in 47 games a season ago.

Comtois (lower-body) returned to California to be re-evaluated.

Comtois has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury and has returned to California to be re-evaluated. According to head coach Dallas Eakins, "he’s had a lower-body (issue) going on and can’t seem to get past it. We just thought it was better to get him home and looked at a little deeper."

Pinto (undisclosed) is questionable to play Monday in San Jose.

Pinto picked up an injury on Saturday, missed Sunday's practice and is questionable to play Monday. The Senators are optimistic he will play, but expect Dylan Gambrell to replace him on the third line if he can't play.
