Hart will start Thursday in Boston.

Hart was defeated his last time out in overtime after allowing five goals on 33 shots (.848 SV%) to take his third loss in as many games. Hart has enjoyed a surgent season after a few years, with a 6-2-3 record and a .929 SV% to go along with a 2.42 GAA. He faces off against the Bruins who currently hold the best record in the NHL partially in fact to them leading the NHL in goals per game while averaging 4.0 per game.

Bean had left the Blue Jackets' previous contests after playing only 8:55 TOI after leaving with an upper-body injury. He will be out a while which is a huge hit to the already decimated by-injury Blue Jackets. He was enjoying a strong season, as he had one goal and six points through his first 14 games played with 16 SOG.

Bemstrom (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Bemstrom was missing from Wednesday's practice but was on the ice for Thursday's morning skate. He remains questionable to play vs. the Canadiens and is considered a game-time decision. Bemstrom played on the top line on Tuesday but failed to record a point while firing four shots on goal. He's now registered one goal, one assist and 12 shots in three games this season.

Bobrovsky will start Thursday vs. the Stars.

Bobrovsky was great his last time out, stopping 41 of 43 shots (.955 SV%) as he went on to bet the Washington Capitals. The veteran goaltender has not been his usual reliable self this season, posting a 4-4-0 record with a 3.14 GAA and .905 SV%. He takes on the Dallas Stars, who are first in the Central Division but have lost three of their last four games.

Korpisalo will start Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

Korpisalo stopped 18 of 20 shots (.900 SV%) in a win over Philadelphia in his previous start. Korpisalo will be taking the bulk of the Blue Jackets' starts after Elvis Merzlinkins was placed on injured reserve Thursday. He holds a 2-1-1 record with a 3.70 GAA and .910 SV%. He takes on the Montreal Canadiens who just snapped a three-game winning streak with a 5-1 loss their last time out to New Jersey.

Raanta is in the starter's crease at the Hurricanes' morning skate.

Raanta stopped 24 of 27 shots (.889 SV%) his last time out as he lost to the Colorado Avalanche last Saturday. The Hurricanes' backup netminder has been his usual steady self this season as he has a 3-2-1 record with a 2.47 GAA and .911 SV%. He faces off against the same Colorado team he lost to just five days ago, who is coming off a 3-2 loss to St. Louis their last time out.

Ville Heinola has been recalled from Manitoba (AHL).

Heinola will get his first taste of NHL action in 2022-23 after being recalled from Manitoba of the AHL. He had been enjoying a fairly strong early campaign, with seven assists and a +12 plus/minus rating across only 11 games played. The 2019 first-round pick (20th overall) has played in 25 career NHL games with one goal and 10 points prior to this season.

Bobrovsky was great his last time out, stopping 41 of 43 shots (.955 SV%) as he went on to bet the Washington Capitals. Cal Petersen will start Wednesday vs. Edmonton

Petersen stopped 18 of 21 shots (.857 SV%) to pick up an easy 4-3 victory over Detroit his last time out. The 28-year-old has been terrible this season, posting a .867 SV% and 4.06 GAA to go along with his 4-2-0 record. He takes on the high-scoring Edmonton Oilers who rank fourth in the NHL with 3.69 goals per game.

Marc-Andre Fleury has been placed on the injured reserve (upper body)

It was announced Wednesday that Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to miss some time due to an upper-body injury will be heading to the injured reserve. The 37-year-old has been up and down this season, posting a 6-4-1 record with a 2.80 GAA and .906 SV%. The injury is enough for the Wild to recall a goalie from their AHL affiliate Iowa.

Linus Ullmark will likely get the start Thursday as Boston takes on Philadelphia.

With Jeremy Swayman returning from injury Wednesday, Jim Montgomery announced he was leaning toward Linus Ullmark on Thursday vs. Philadelphia. Ullmark stopped 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%) from his third straight win as he continued his incredible start to the season, moving to 11-1-0 with a 1.96 GAA and .936 SV%. He takes on the Philadelphia Flyers who have struggled offensively averaging only 2.56 goals per game to rank 30th in the NHL.

Elvis Merzlikins is out Thursday and is considered day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.

Merzlikins left the Blue Jackets previous game halfway through due to an undisclosed injury and will not dress for their contest Thursday vs. Montreal. The 28-year-old was having a rough start to the season, posting a 2-5-0 record with a 4.74 GAA and .864 SV%.

Patrik Laine has been placed on the injured reserve (ankle).

Laine was placed on the injured reserve retroactively to Nov.12th after he suffered a sprained ankle in last Saturday’s game at the NY Islanders and is expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks. It is a tough break for Laine who already missed six games due to an injury earlier this season. Through eight games so far in 2022-23, Laine had struggled to find his footing with two goals and four points along with 29 SOG in eight games this season.
