Zane McIntyre has been recalled from the Iowa Wild (AHL).

McIntyre will get the call-up from Iowa (AHL) after it was announced Marc-Andre Fleury is dealing with a lower-body injury and will be out for an undisclosed amount of time. In seven games with Iowa in 2022-23, the 30-year-old has a 4-3-0 record along with a .903 SV% and 3.08 GAA. He last played in the NHL in 2016-17 where he played in eight games and failed to pick up his first career victory.

Filip Gustavsson will start Thursday vs. Pittsburgh.

With Marc-Andre Fleury heading to the IR Wednesday, Gustavsson is now the Wilds' starting goaltender for the time being. He had his best start out his last time between the pipes, stopping 35 of 37 shots (.946 SV%) in a shootout loss to SJS. He has been solid in limited action this season, moving to 1-3-1 with a 2.81 GAA and .914 SV%. He is taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins who have lost their last two games but rank top ten in both goals per game (8th) and shots per game (7th).

Skinner will start Wednesday vs. the Kings.

Skinner stopped 40 of 42 shots (.952 SV%) during his previous time out in a win over Florida. The Edmonton native has been excellent this season, posting a 3-3-0 record with a .932 SV% and 2.52 GAA. He faces off against the Los Angeles Kings who lost 6-5 their last time out to Calgary.

Petersen was the first goalie off of the ice at the Kings morning skate.

Petersen stopped 18 of 21 shots (.857 SV%) to pick up an easy 4-3 victory over Detroit his last time out. The 28-year-old has been terrible this season, posting a .867 SV% and 4.06 GAA to go along with his 4-2-0 record. He takes on the high-scoring Edmonton Oilers who rank fourth in the NHL with 3.69 goals per game.

Teuvo Teravainen is not close to returning to the Hurricanes' lineup (upper body).

Teravainen has an upper-body injury but not a concussion head coach Rod Brind'Amour announced Wednesday and is not close to returning. In 14 games this season, he has yet to score a goal but has seven assists on 32 SOG and only one PPP with a +3 plus/minus rating.

Frederick Andersen is not close to returning to the Hurricanes' lineup (undisclosed).

Rod Brind'Amour announced today that "Nobody's close to getting back." Meaning the Hurricane's all-start netminder will find himself on the shelf for even longer with an undisclosed injury. Andersen had struggled a bit this season after finishing fourth in Vezina Trophy voting in 2021-22, posting a .891 SV% and 2.72 GAA but a decent 5-3-0 record all the same.

It was announced Wednesday that Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to miss some time due to an upper-body injury and is being evaluated further today. The 37-year-old has been up and down this season, posting a 6-4-1 record with a 2.80 GAA and .906 SV%. The injury is enough for the Wild to recall a goalie from their AHL affiliate Iowa.

Mason Appleton (upper body) is expected to be out for eight weeks.

Appleton left Winnipeg's overtime win in Seattle Sunday early and will now need surgery which will hold him out of the Jets lineup for approximately eight weeks. It is a tough loss for the 26-year-old who had a goal and six points off 25 SOG through his first 14 games played with the Jets this season

Samuel Montembeault will start Thursday vs. the Blue Jackets.

Montembeault stopped 31 of 33 shots (.939 SV%) for his third straight victory as he beat Vancouver his last time out. The Canadiens' backup has been sensational this season, posting a .930 SV% to go along with his 3-1-1 record and 2.38 GAA. He faces the Columbus Blue Jackets who have struggled on both sides of the ice ranking 23rd in goals per game (2.87) but also last in the NHL in goals allowed per game (4.33).

Colton Parayko will be a game-time decision Wednesday vs. the Blackhawks

Parayko will be a game-time decision Wednesday after head coach Craig Berube announced Wednesday that he may miss his first game of the season. Parayko picked up an assist in his last game against Colorado to snap a seven-game pointless drought and now has three assists across 14 total games this season.

Binnington will start Wednesday in Chicago.

Binnington is coming off his best start of the season stopping 45 of 47 shots (.957 SV%) in a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche. Binnington finds himself on a three-game winning streak while having an average season with a 6-5-0 record and 3.07 GAA with his 3.04 GAA. He takes on the struggling Chicago Blackhawks who have lost three of their last four games being shutout in two of them.

Forsberg stopped 37 of 41 (.902 SV%) in his previous start out, a loss vs. the high-scoring New Jersey Devils. Pitlick has been summoned from Laval of the AHL for his second stint with the Montreal Canadiens for the 2022-23 season. In three games with Laval prior to his promotion, he had three assists and eight PIMs with a +1 plus/minus rating. In seven games with Montreal earlier in the year he was held pointless.

Thompson stopped 31 of 35 shots (.886 SV%) his last time out vs. Buffalo to pick up his sixth straight victory. The 25-year-old rookie has been incredible so far this season, posting an 8-2-0 record along with a 2.32 GAA and .925 SV%. He takes on the San Jose Sharks who have won two straight but rank 25th in the NHL in goals per game (2.71).
