Jake Allen will start vs. the New Jersey Devils Tuesday.

Allen stopped 20 of 24 shots (.833 SV%) as he beat Pittsburgh 5-4 his last time out. The 32-year-old has had an up-and-down season, posting a 5-5-0 record with a 3.19 GAA and .902 SV%. He faces off against the New Jersey Devils who are 1st in the Metropolitan and rank second in the NHL in shots per game (37.1) and fifth in goals per game (3.67).

Vitek Vanecek will be back between the Devils' crease as they take on Montreal Tuesday.

Vanecek had to leave his previous start vs. Ottawa after stopping 18 of 21 shots (.857 SV%) and will return to the crease Tuesday vs. Montreal. He has enjoyed a very strong season, posting a 6-1-0 record with a 2.33 GAA and .909 SV%. He faces off against Montreal who has won three straight games after taking a 5-4 win over Pittsburgh Saturday.

Spencer Martin is starting Tuesday vs. the Sabres.

Martin allowed three goals on 34 shots (.912 SV%) as he lost to Toronto 3-2 on Saturday but finds himself back in Vancouver's crease Tuesday vs. Buffalo. Martin has been starting to take starts from Thatcher Demko due to his 3-1-1 record and .902 SV%. He faces off against the Buffalo Sabres who find themselves in the middle of a five-game losing streak.

Jake Oettinger will start Tuesday vs. the Lightning.

Oettinger was his usual dominant self in his last start, stopping 37 of 38 goals (.974 SV%) in a victory over Philadelphia. The 23-year-old has been incredible this year leading all goaltenders in the NHL in both GAA (1.80) and SV% (.938 SV%) while posting a 6-2-0 record. He takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning who are 13th in the NHL in goals per game (3.27) and coming off a 6-3 win over Washington Sunday.

Sam Carrick has been activated ahead of the Ducks game Tuesday (hip).

Carrick will make his season debut Tuesday as the Ducks take on the Detroit Red Wings. In four games with San Diego (AHL) on a conditioning stint prior to his activation, he had zero points and four PIMs. He will slot in with Kevin Shattenkirk heading to the injured reserve Tuesday.

Shattenkirk left Anaheim's game against Minnesota after playing just eight shifts and 7:08 TOI and will now head to the injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. Through 14 games this season, he has five assists off 25 SOG with 20 PIMs and a +1 plus/minus.

Thompson was the first goalie off of the ice at the Golden Knights morning skate.

Thompson stopped 31 of 35 shots (.886 SV%) his last time out vs. Buffalo to pick up his sixth straight victory. The 25-year-old rookie has been incredible so far this season, posting an 8-2-0 record along with a 2.32 GAA and .925 SV%. He takes on the San Jose Sharks who have won two straight but rank 25th in the NHL in goals per game (2.71).
